Good boot but safety toe doesn't mean steel toe
on August 16, 2013
I generally buy Danner boots and these are representative of their usual quality. I have to add a couple of pointers though. The listing shows that they are safety toe boots, the boots that I received do not have a steel toe so I guess I misinterpreted that bit. I'm not too disappointed though because they are awesome.
These boots are made in America rather than some of the foreign made Danner boots, I generally take a size 10.5 D when I buy Danner boots (fourth pair in a row!) but I found that these were a little tighter than normal so the American factory might be using a slightly smaller last to fit their boots to.
The only reason that I have to buy new Danners is either when I get them completely saturated with dirt or when the sole wears completely flat. if you can get them fitted somewhere then find them here cheaper then go for it.
In summary, safety toe doesn't equal steel toe and they fit a little tighter than my other boots from the same brand.
