I generally buy Danner boots and these are representative of their usual quality. I have to add a couple of pointers though. The listing shows that they are safety toe boots, the boots that I received do not have a steel toe so I guess I misinterpreted that bit. I'm not too disappointed though because they are awesome.

These boots are made in America rather than some of the foreign made Danner boots, I generally take a size 10.5 D when I buy Danner boots (fourth pair in a row!) but I found that these were a little tighter than normal so the American factory might be using a slightly smaller last to fit their boots to.

The only reason that I have to buy new Danners is either when I get them completely saturated with dirt or when the sole wears completely flat. if you can get them fitted somewhere then find them here cheaper then go for it.

In summary, safety toe doesn't equal steel toe and they fit a little tighter than my other boots from the same brand.

I just picked up my Danner Riviot's from the base PX. They cost me $180. So who ever is trying to sell them for 200+ is crazy. Since 08' i've owned 4 pair of boots, 2 of them where issued to me from basic, the other 2 where Danners that i picked up my self. This pair being my 3rd pair of Danner boots. My 1SG told me last week that i needed to get "cleaner boots" so thats why i bought them. However, I still got another 100+ miles i figure i can get out of my other two. The Rivot Boot is American Made in the great state "my home town" OREGON, in the weirdest city on the planet - PORTLAND!!!
Solid build construction, Lighter then the SV2's and to me they look more professional. I only gave them a 4/5 because i only walked around in them at the store, but i am willing to bet that they will stand up to anything i throw at them.

Normally have toe box width problems with most boots/shoes. These were just right in the D width. No need for the E or EE. In fact I tried the EE and it was simply too roomy and difficult to cinch down the laces.
If you've ever tried on one of the stiffer leather Danner boots (Acadia), these are not those. Very soft in comparison and much more room.
However, I am experiencing some kind of strain on my left toe when worn over distance. Almost as if it's being pulled back too far. Chalking that up to newness as these are, after all, vibram soles and new boots.

I'm a 10 1/2 EE with a St. Louis arch. The American made Danner's never let me down.

Just opened the box and put them on. The fit is snug which is what Danner advertises. The toe box is very hard/firm, great for protection but something I'm not used to in this snug of fit so I questioned the sizing at first. It's something that will take some getting used to, as long as it doesn't bruise my big toe I'll be good to go. Construction is what I expect from Danner, no flags, no manufacturing flaws (just returned a pair of Altama boots for this reason). I'm looking forward to putting miles down is these boots and will review again. Three stars because it's too early to tell.

These are good boots, I have had tried every so called top brand. Most get tops 1 year while in service, same in construction.
I do recommend them. Amazon usually has cheaper or comparable pricing. These were bought for me by my girlfriend, she paid $289 on Amazon. On Military Boots.com they were $189.95, 100 Dollars cheaper, that is a huge difference. I did not ask her where she purchased them. About 4 months after purchase, I was looking on other site at boots, she saw these and said she paid a lot more !!

By far the best boots I have owned in the army. They are my third pair and last about a year to a year and a half. Great boots.
