Danner Women's Explorer W Outdoor Boot

I'm a parking enforcement officer part time while attending school, and we have to work in all types of weather. I had another pair of Danners, but they were quickly becoming worn out. (They weren't made in the USA, so I think that could have easily been a factor. They also weren't leather and I'm pretty tough on boots.)

I'm on my feet all day, so I needed something comfortable and durable, and I liked the fact that they are leather and repairable.

So far, I've had them for almost a month now, and they are mostly broken in.

They are more comfortable than the other Danners I had, but my feet still get somewhat sore and there is no room to insert other insoles. I'm on cement/asphalt all day, so that is probably a contributing factor. If it weren't for that fact, I would have given these boots 5 stars. They also squeak a little bit, but I think that if I wax them a little bit, that should go away. They are also a little heavy, but they are not as "clunky" as my other Danners, and they are much easier to run in if necessary.

I'm working for the forest service this year, and I'm looking forward to using these boots everyday!

(Note: if you have slightly wide feet, the shoes might be too tight. They are very snug around the toe area.)
