What a sweet and charming story!,
This review is from: Danny Diamondback (Hardcover)
What a sweet and charming story! This fantastic book is packed not only with the most amazing of illustrations, but also the kind of message kids need to be taught AND adults reminded of these days. The illustrations are unique and wonderful. You simply can't help but be drawn in by the powerfull detail and skill by which they were done. These lovely illustrations create emotions that along with the story have you rooting for a SNAKE of all things by the end of the first page!

WOW! great story AND illustrations,
This review is from: Danny Diamondback (Hardcover)
This is my new favorite gift to give all the kids in my life. Not only are the illustrations like nothing I have seen in a book before, the story is heart warming and delightful. I wouldn't have thought I could ever fall for a snake, but the story and illustrations just pulled me in. Those prairie dogs are the cutes things, I felt like I was right in there with them. Gotta go, my daughter is pulling on me to read it to her again.

Music resolves desert conflict,

This delightful and unusual story creates a sympathetic outsider (a rattlesnake no less) who learns to fit in with his adoptive community. I especially appreciate that even in the face of danger, he does not resort to violence or even the threat of violence. Truly, music hath charms as the saying goes. It is beautifully illustrated and charmingly written like a legend of the Old West.
