I developed a gradual allergic reaction to lipsticks and lip liners. The allergy would develop within 24 hours, in the form of little bumps on my lips, feeling like they were chapped. It started out where I could only use certain brands, but I grew concerned when it would happen anytime I wore lipstick AND lip balms/protectants. I tried everything--Blistex, Chapstick, Carmax, etc. I couldn't figure out which ingredient was the culprit. I heard it may be due to the sunscreen, or even some of the so-called "natural" ingredients. I went online to find out if there were others with the same experiences, and was relieved to find out that I wasn't the only one. Several suggested Dr. Dans CortiBalm Lip Balm. I decided to give it a try. Within 1 day, there was a noticeable difference! No more rash or chapped lips. The test was to see if I could wear lipstick over CortiBalm with no resulting rash--and IT WORKED! I am able to wear my favorite lipsticks, gloss and liners! Thank you Dr. Dan!!! I will never be without CortiBalm.

I have extremely dry chapped lips and nothing has worked as well as Dr. Dan's. Since using this product, I also have not had any cold sores on my lips. I do use it daily and at night. Some say it doesn't taste great, but I have no problem with it. I also use lip gloss over it for color. I highly recommend this product if you have tried everything else and nothing is working. I wish I had found this years ago!

Tried them all for my very chapped peeling lips....nothing until I used Cortibalm. This stuff is great, cleared up my lips in about a week. This is one product that does what it advertises.

I used to suffer from chapped lips, but no more! I keep a tube of CortiBalm in my purse, by my bed, by my desk at home and workplace... This stuff is great! I admit that it doesn't have the best smell, but I quickly got used to it. I have tried numerous other products design to treat severely chapped lips and nothing comes close.

I LOVE CortiBalm. I'm coming to the end of an Accutane regimin, and my initial side effect of ridiculously dry lips (seriously -- a few hours without chapstick, they're bleeding.) is still present. As a result, I've been trying just about every chapped lip product on the self. They help to varying degrees, but with most others I find myself re-applying every 20 minutes or so. I can use this with way less frequency and far greater results. My lips are soft and smooth again! Well worth the price.

I couldn't go anywhere without chapstick on me at all times,especially in winter.I had to apply every half an hour.I only have to apply a few times a day with cortibalm.

This is the best lip balm I have ever tried. Once you use it there will never be another one in your purse! I highly recommend this for dry or chapped lips. Since I have been using it I have not once had any dryness with my lips! I can't brag enough about this product!!

I am currently taking Accutane for cystic acne. I had tried several chap-sticks and this is by far the BEST!!! Package arrived according to date provided!

I would just like to say that my I never had a problem with dry lips or chapped lips and never had to apply chapstick everyday until an incident that happened when I was about 18 years old. I made a cup of hot tea, and not realizing that it was quite super hot, I burned my entire upper lip and most of the skin above it. My upper lip peeled for SEVERAL months afterwards, and the skin above it was red for what seemed like forever. I tried EVERY chapstick imaginable--all natural and regular, nothing really worked! The only things that found me relief from overly dry and chapped lips was petroleum jelly or Aquaphor, but even those wore off quite fast and didn't offer any 'lasting' results. I then went onto the internet and researched what the best chapstick would be for severely chapped and dry lips and Dr. Dan's Cortibalm seemed to be a top contender. Heck, it was used by people on Accutane who experience very bad chapped lips!! Ahh, I finally found relief! I applied a thick layer and eventually my lips cleared up!! Yes, I attribute this to fixing my chapped lips! However, I have found that because of my incident, I cannot have any type of moisture including spit or water touch my lips otherwise they will dry out like PRUNES! It is utterly annoying and maddening--I have heard that I could have some type of yeast overgrowth, but I don't know. Whenever I run out of Cortibalm, my lips return to such a horrible condition - they look very dry, lose all color, and are very tight!! I have to have multiple tubes of this lying around. I apply it as soon as I get out of the shower because the water gives me that tight lipped feeling!! I heard that you should not use this on a regular basis if you don't have to, so if it clears up your condition, I think you don't have to use it everyday, but because of my condition, I do use it everyday and it's the only thing that WORKS!! As soon as I put it on, I can notice that my lips have a very nice pinkish hue and they had just the right amount of moisture! It is soothing, and if you put it on consistently, you WILL notice a difference!! I work as a pharm tech and people come in asking me what to use on dry lips (surprisingly they tell me they use regular chapstick -- a big nono, and it offers no relief - how surprising! - those are meant to dry out your lips!!) and I always recommend Cortibalm!!
