Don't Bother Purchasing a Physical, December 27, 2011

These tunes are interesting to say the least. If you're an animal collective fan don't pay the 20$ to get the physical copy, it truly is not worth your while. Most of these songs are just droned out tones with feedback modules destroying your ears and stereo. I bought this on LP and I had a difficult time even finishing side one, and flipping the disc didn't prove to be any better. This is nothing like Merriweather Post, Feels, Sung Tongs, or Strawberry Jam. They shouldn't have reissued this, and they certainly shouldn't be charging what they are asking for these basement dubs. Very experimental, but not in a pleasant or psychedelic way. Almost every lyric is unintelligible, almost every sound is piercing to the ear, and almost every song has no discernible progression. This review was written by an Animal Collective fan, so from a fan to other fans. Just skip it, it's not worth the while.
