I was looking for a butter dish that was both attractive and functional. This is both. Has an excellent knob that is secure to grab and easily remove the cover. Has plenty of room for a regular 1/4 lb stick plus a little room. Those with no knob are ridiculous!
As one reviewer noted the dimensions are incorrect and should be fixed in the add. It is 7.2" long, 3.8" high (not the 5.8 in the description), and 4.1" wide.

This has been returned since the dimensions listed are not the dimensions of the dish. We like the LARGE butter sticks that you get from warehouse stores, and are trying to find a butter dish that they will fit on. If the dimensions advertised on this dish would have been correct it would have been perfect, but it is MUCH smaller.

I have had this butter dish for about 25 years and still love it. Our grand daughter loves it, she always reminds me that she likes the butter dish.. go figure, lol. We've gotten our money's worth out of this. Wish Dansk would come back with their Ceylon pattern.
