I've had Dansk Variation V for 35 years, including pieces manufactured in Denmark, Finland, Japan, Korea, and China. There are slight but real differences in the shapes of each utensil type (spoon, fork, etc) from country to country of manufacture. These latest sets are made in China; the polish is higher, and the molds are clearly different. If you have acquired this pattern in recent years you may not notice; if you have originals, you will. It's a bit too soon to tell how well these pieces will "age" (stand up to the dishwasher, etc). Otherwise, they blend in with the older pieces except when lined up with like items (ie, spoons, forks, etc). For the price, these are a great value.

I ordered some individual pieces recently to add to my set which I have had since 1970. Actually, I only needed the teaspoons. Well, I returned the teaspoons and kept the rest. The forks are a different shape and the knives had spots after one washing but I decided to keep them anyway. The stainless is not up to the original standards of manufacturer. My biggest disappointment was the size of the teaspoons. They were much smaller. And the teaspoon is already on the smallish side. They are manufactured in China and I was truly not satisfied.

You will love this pattern. It has been around for years! I got this pattern about 30 years ago and I am still using it! I use it for everyday, but it's elegant for company. The teaspoons are nicely curved, no sharp edges. Once you use this pattern, you will never switch. Thanks for Dansk for making this timeless, wonderful pattern.

I have had this pattern for over 40 years and the peices were made in Finland and Japan. What I just received was made in China and I was most disappointed. The size is different, which is not a huge problem, but the quality especially in the forks, is clearly inferior. I will keep it, but had I known what it would be like, I would have started over with a whole new pattern. This order came from csn stores and the service was terrific. The stainless arrived 4 days before they said it would.

We acquired our original set of this flatware in 1975. As pieces have gone astray since then, we have been looking for a new set, but nothing is as satisfying as this pattern so we elected to augment the current set. The newer sets have a longer fork head and slightly changed soupspoon bowl length, but retain the original feel and appearance.

Arrived in appropriate time, in good condition and as advertised. I would engage with this dealer at any time.

With an incresing extended family, I needed to obtain more serving sets of my Dansk Variation V. Put that name in the search engine and this one came up. Ordered and it appeared within about 5-6 days. I was pleased to receive it promply. I shall order another two sets when it is in stock.

My mom chose this for her everyday flatware when she got married in 1966. Her tastes have changed and this has been her secondary flatware since the late 80's and I finally talked her into giving it to me last week. 42 years old and it still looks great. thanks mom!
