I wear these instead of panty hose. I favor the light toast or black shades. Unlike panty hose, if sized properly and laundered per the manufacturers instructions these last a very long time without getting runs or holes. In fact, I have had these for over two years and an still wearing them.
While I wear these with all sorts of outfits and they look very nice, it's when you can't see them that they are most appreciated. I wear them under my jeans, trousers, etc. for an extra layer of warmth in winter. These come in handy because I live in a an area that is in a snow belt of Lake Michigan and it gets really cold.
My only advice is to go up one size on these. I should wear size B, but I buy these in C. The larger size allows for a little give in the crotch and waist area and isn't as form fitting.

I ordered these in both Light Toast and Classic Light Toast to figure out which color was which. Classic Light Toast is a red-based tan, somewhere between Capezio's Suntan and Light Suntan. Light Toast is a yellow-based tan and is slightly lighter than Classic. Classic Light Toast is way too pink for me and was returned. Light Toast is the right color family, but too pale. However, if you have this problem, you can tea-stain the tights darker. Just put the tights in a pot with some water and black tea bags. Cook on medium heat and rinse with cool water.

In terms of comfort and wear, I think these are on par with my other tights from Capezio, Bloch, and Body Wrappers. My issue is getting the right color more than anything else.

Years and years ago, I'd buy these for my dance class. Fast forward 20 years, I get these now for everyday wear. The footed tights are much sturdier than L'eggs and other hosiery. Every time I wear L'eggs (any kind), I'd get a run in the 2nd time I wear it. Unlike the other reviewer, I've worn the Danskins now for about 3 years, and not a tear, nor a run. It also helps I think that I got it in size C instead of B. I prefer to wear tights with shorter skirts so I don't feel exposed, and the larger size covers real well like leggings, and eliminates runs and tears by not being so stretched. My fav colors are the light toast, toast, white and black. The pink only works well with certain colors.

I bought one of these (in black) and a pair of white Hanes, to see if there was difference in quality between the brands, rather than stock up on a bunch of colors in one brand. I'm very glad I did this, because the Hanes were complete garbage (and that's where they ended up the first night I wore them!) and these were what I was looking for.

The black ones are nice and thick, so they don't look sheer and they actually cover the legs and any blemishes and hair. They also feel very soft and sleek.

The fit was a big plus, too. The Hanes tights I bought were ridiculously tight around the thighs- these Danskin tights actually compensate for normal women and the fact most women's thighs are bigger than their calves. Additionally, the band on the top is flexible and sewn in the seam well, so it doesn't cut into the skin around the stomach or leave a huge, red line like some tights do.

Some tights, the top band tends to roll down or needs to constantly be pulled up. I didn't encounter that with these. There is a small amount of fussing around the ankles and calves, because I am short and have short legs, and these are too long (this is where I docked), so they will bunch up down there a bit. However, at least with the black ones, it's not noticeable since they stretch so well all over that the color doesn't thin out very much when it stretches.

These seem fairly durable, overall. No runs yet after more than 10 wears, and no worries about tossing them in the washing machine.

I only wish they had colors or varieties of gray.

I recall getting these very promptly, as well. I will definitely be getting different shades!

I was looking for nylons that won't roll down at the waistband. These are great quality and very durable and the "rolling down" problem is totally eliminated due to the waist band. I'm 5'1, between 110-115lbs and the size B actually fits great. This color is a perfect nude.

I ordered a size C thinking they would be very comfortable, but they are too snug. Better size information should be available.

I've strongly disliked tights for most of my life, finding them restrictive, strangling, and uncomfortable. These tights might very well convert me! The are incredibly sturdy - I've been wearing them repeatedly since they arrived and there are no snags whatsoever. I stretch them a bunch when I put them on and they never show any sign that they might tear. They fit pretty comfortable - still snug up top on the body, but there is no one place where they are tighter, which I appreciate (i.e. the waistband doesn't dig in, the tops of the thighs don't pinch, etc.).

I've been wearing Danskin tights for ballet and figure skating for YEARS but recently had to retire them, so I ordered two new pairs of tights in Theatrical Pink and Light Toast from Amazon as replacements.

First of all, Theatrical Pink is way too dark pink for ballet, even though my old Danskin tights were awesome for their pale pink almost white color for class. They're almost as pink as my Bloch footed tights, so if you're looking something similar then go for that color. I wonder what Ballet Pink actually looks like. I thought that was the extent of my disappointment with these tights; unfortunately, I was wrong. I literally only wore my brand new tights to ONE class, washed them in a laundry bag and hung them on a rack to dry, only to discover a 1" inch rip in the crotch area plus the fabric was already starting to run before my 2nd class! I'm flabbergasted at how not durable these new tights are. Sure, my leotard will cover the rip but this hole will only get bigger... My 7+ year old Danskin tights may thin out in the same area but have yet to RIP.

I'm afraid to wash the new Light Toast tights that I use for figure skating, so I don't know if that pair is of any better or different quality than the Theatrical Pink pair. As a person of Asian descent, I would say the color is rather dark for my skin tone, but I wear these under my leggings so it's not a big deal to me. You might feel differently if you're looking for a pair for competition/test.

I love the Danskin tights. I have the black and the light toast. They wear well and are extremely comfortable. The black is a bit too shiny, but it's so comfie that I accept it. The light toast is also comfie, and it almost hides my rather large leg tattoo if I want to hide it at the office. I no longer need to but still wear the tights. HOWEVER, the light toast seem to attract dirt. I can't explain it, but within an hour of leaving the house the ankles are filthy. I don't have this problem with pantyhose and can't tell if I have this problem with the black tights because... well... because they're black and don't show the dirt. I have no idea why this is, but I did give them one star off for that.

There is a minor fit problem. They don't quite come all the way over my ass. I mean, they come over but a half an inch extra in the back would make them fit perfectly. This is where they lost the other star.

Oh! I am 5'2" and weight 270 pounds. I order the D.

These tights fit great under my clothes. They kept me snug and warm when traipsing through the wind and snow, and didn't cause me to overheat inside my work building. Because they're dance tights, they're not fragile or prone to pulling like stockings. A great product.
