Your heel should lift up and down with every step, so if you are a half-size you may be more comfortable sizing up (for example, if you are a US 7.5, you may be more comfortable in an EU size 38). All-day comfort is yours in the pretty 'Pavan' clog from Dansko . Soft suede upper with decorative cutouts for a fashionable look. Roomy Thermoplastic toe box provides durable reinforcement and toe protection while allowing toes to move comfortably. Non-allergenic vegetable tanned leather sock liner wrapped around synthetic foam absorbs and evaporates perspiration. Protective Polyethylene heel counter allows the heel to move up and down when walking. Also provides lateral stability and acts as a natural shoe horn. PVC inner frame provides stability and reduces torque and pronation. Polyurethane outsole provides shock absorption and flexibility, withstands surfaces of extreme heat and cold, and protects feet, legs and back during long hours of standing or walking. Rocker bottom propels the foot forward when walking. Dansko Stapled clog outsoles are designed to be suitably slip resistant in workplace environments where excesses of vegetable oils and animal fats are present. Slip resistant tests have been carried out by ATRA, the world's leading research and technology organization for the footwear industry.

Dansko sizing issues October 11, 2009

I ordered 2 pair of Danskos which ended up being processed by 2 different sellers .
The blue patent arrived 1st and there were major fit / sizing issues and I had to return them ( very costly , $20+ )
so I then refused this order . The following is the issue from the 1st pair that arrived > > >

This shoe from Dansko ( now made in China ) was Not available . so I agreed to the Sanita ( original Dansko per seller & made in Europe ) which was in stock .
Out of the box , it looked exactly like the picture but the beauty ended there .
I own over a dozen size 10s but Not any Danskos and do have a rule Never to buy a brand by mail or internet that I do not already own or have tried on . I broke this rule to buy this shoe and Re-learned a very pricy lesson . ( $20+ for return shipping and restocking fees ) Although they list as a 9.5 - 10 , which indicates a 9.5 could wear a sock and the 10 would be barefoot or a nylon , this shoe can Not be worn by a 10 . I was barely able to get my foot in and there was serious rubbing on the toes when I actually moved . There would have been blisters in no time . The 9.5 may be able to wear them barefoot but the stiff upper and hard plastic heel liner would still make it an ugly experience .
The possible use for this shoe is as a wet weather shoe with heavy socks but you will need to buy them 2 sizes larger .

1 week later I bought pair of Dr Scholls 9.5 that fit wonderfully and I wear for hours without any blister issues .
I did notice that the Euro sizing on his was 2 points higher than listed on the other 9.5 - 10 .
Maybe the Dansko / Sanita manufacturer has size conversion issues from Euro to US ?
Try this shoe on in the store BEFORE you buy .

Too big November 25, 2009

I ordered a 41, which is my usual Dansko size. I have 2 other Dansko shoes which I love. But this 41 was more like a 43. I've had my other Danskos for a couple of years so after these arrived I went to the mall to try on another pair just to see if Dansko has changed their sizing. They have not, and the 41s at the store fit me perfectly. I had to return these and I wasn't willing to ask for an exchange and be disappointed in the size again.

I decided to keep my Pavan Clogs even though they fit slightly bigger then other size 39 clogs that I own. Clogs are supposed to "slip" in the heel when you walk, but the Pavan's "slip" a bit more than I'm accustomed to. They do look nice and give great support and I think a size 38 would be too small. I've been a big fan of Dansko's for many years and usually get several years wear from their shoes. I got a great deal from ordering them on Amazon and overall am pleased with my purchase.

To small
I wear a 11w and a 12 reg . This shoe was a 11.5 - 12 m which is a reg shoe size. It got here super fast but it didnt mater cuz i chouldnt even fit my foot in side. Read more
