This review is from: Dante's Comedy: The Inferno (v. 1) (Paperback)
Dante's Inferno was an exploration of Hell at its best. The graphic descriptions of each level of Hell and what they contained, and especially Dante's and Virgil's narrow escape from the demons, made the book impossible to put down. I am a busy college student, and I managed to read the book on one week, it was that good. It flowed, and its rhythm made me want to keep reading. Next, onto Purgatorio and Paradiso.

This review is from: Dante's Comedy: The Inferno (v. 1) (Paperback)
I didn't quite know what to think of the Inferno when I first picked it up, but I'd heard about it and decided to give it a shot. This book gave me nightmares and yet was so interesting and well-described that I read it in no time and marveled at it's skillful craftmanship. and I don't even beleive in Hell!

5.0 out of 5 starsCold Sweat!, August 26, 1999

This review is from: Dante's Comedy: The Inferno (v. 1) (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for those who do and don't believe in Hell. If one does not believe in Hell, this book is a perfect reason to make one, if not to become religious, but at least to consider the factor. If one does believe, then it'll help them in less sinning! As for myself, reading many passages throughout this book, gave me chills and cold sweats!
