After 15 months, the flow in stream mode is not workong well, with stream splitting. The reliability of flow mode switching mechanism is lacking.

We have been using this faucet for about a month and are very happy with it.

What we like . . .
Construction is solid and the action on the handle is silky smooth
The leverage with the longer handle makes flow easy to control
Twisting the head to switch between stream and spray is very convenient -- I frequently set it half way between.
The goose-neck makes our sink seem much larger (we replaced a Kohler faucet with less clearance).
It looks great (we have chrome version).

Cautions . . .
The pull down is really a 2-handed job -- it does not come out that easily. I don't find it a problem, however.
Clearance -- if you are installing on a center mount with a wall close behind, be sure you read the specs for clearance needed behind the faucet to allow the handle to go all of the way back -- it may not fit in some installations. We have it corner mounted.

In sum, we think the faucet has great construction, to our taste is one of the few that are actually attractive in design, and has a smooth easy to control action. Highly recommended.

I replaced my old Delta faucet with this one when I was putting in granite countertops. The difference is like night and day... this thing just oozes quality. The lever is so easy to move and so smooth it's incredible.

I had two concerns about this faucet after reading a previous review - first, the throw of the handle and second, the strength required to use the pull-down.

The first really is an issue if you don't have much clearance to the wall behind the faucet - the lever moves around 90 degrees total, and it's fairly long. The easy way I took to get around this issue was simply to mount it with the handle in front. It looks great, it's more symmetric, and it doesn't pull much towards you so it doesn't get in the way of dishes and pots and pans.

The second issue, pull-down tension, I didn't find to be an issue at all, it has enough tension so it will retract by itself if you're not holding it but not so much that it's a big effort. I didn't read the installation instructions, but I did see a spring and a clip so possibly the tension is adjustable. You do have to push it in to get it flush, I guess that's how it stays in (rather than tension on the hose)

I love the way you twist to switch between spray and stream - it's simple, elegant, and doesn't clutter up the head with ugly buttons. The spray is significantly stronger than my old side sprayer for some reason.

All it all, I couldn't be happier with this faucet - it's beautiful to look at and use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beauty and Function, January 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love the look of this faucet. It's high curved neck, thick body, and graceful handle were exactly the look I had in mind. The head can swivel from side to side at the joint you can see which looks like a little "collar" on the faucet. You switch from single spray function to shower spray (which is pretty strong) by turning the head of the nozzle.

I would have given the faucet five stars if only they had used a weighted mechanism to get the faucet head back into the base instead of the coil mechanism they employ. The hose pulls back, but you always have to stuff the faucet back that last couple millimeters to make it flush. Moreover, when you're stuffing it back, you always have to make sure that the pin is lined up in the back. It takes a couple seconds, but I could have lived without it.

Just switched from my second Lady Lux to this Danze faucet and am loving it. The only thing Lady lux had was great hose flexibilty. The Danze hose is fairly stiff however it's not something I use alot since the neck is so high, everything fits underneath it. It fits solidly on my Corian sink and looks spectacular. I love the feature that you can just turn the end and get varying degrees of spray to full power. Love it and it was half the price of the Lady Lux!

I was told by a fixture retailer that I hadn't heard of this manufacturer because Danze refuses to make a "lower end" product for sale in big box retail stores like Home Depot. She said she replaces customers' cheap Moen and Kohler at least a couple of times a month with Danze. Then she told me that her price was nearly $230 more than it was on Amazon.

I am quite happy with the faucet. It is beautiful, substantial, and works great. The plumber was impressed with the materials used for the inner workings. I also like the fact that you can change between spray and stream with a twist of the nozzle. Other SS faucets have a button, which, in my opinion, ruins the sleek look.

this is a beautiful faucet.. adjustable flow between stream & spray with a simple twist, a pullout spout as well. with it's size and high arc, no pot is too tall... it is large, however, so if you have a smaller sink you might want to go with the bar size faucet. One weird thing, the hot and cold were reversed; when the plumber originally hooked it up according to the labels on the intake hoses, the hot ended up on the right, and cold on the left (handle direction). This is a German faucet... Are things different in Europe? No biggie, he just reversed the connections and now cold is to the right the way we're used to it.

This looks nice and works well. It seems to be constructed well. My only gripe is that when you are rinsing dishes, the spray splashes out of the sink. Maybe it is too high?

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke after 3 years, July 24, 2011
This review is from: Danze D404546SS Bellefleur Single-Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this faucet for our high end kitchen remodel 3 years ago. I thought it looked very nice and had seen high reviews. The pull out head was very hard to pull out from day one. The instulation was very difficult. We had to get the quartz company to come back out and make a bigger hole for the faucet because the hose and parts had to be threaded from the top and a standerd size hole was too small. Then the real problems started at about 6 months. The head became increasing difficult to fully push back in and has stayed that way. It stays out about 1 and 1/2 inches. The ring around the middle constantly is loose and has to be tightend up. I didn't want to replace it though because when I bought the faucet it cost over $400 and I decided to live with it even though I was not happy with it. Now it has been 3 years since it was installed and has sprung a leak in the hose and when you pull the sprayer out water shoots out of the hole all over everything including me. I thought it was a high end faucet and expected it to last many more years. I guess I was wrong. I will not be going back with a danze faucet.

I haven't had this faucet installed for very long but I am very happy with it. It seems like a very good quality faucet. The pull-down sprayer is easy to switch from shower to stream, the hot/cold turn on handle works very smoothly and the tall height allows large or high items to be filled easily when sitting inside the sink. In someone else's review a suggestion was made about measuring to be sure the handle has enough clearance in the back so that it can be fully turned to the hot position. I highly recommend this also, especially if you are having a hole cut in a new counter top to accommodate this faucet.
