Book Description

April 26, 2000
IMAGINE A DISTANT FUTURE, WHERE HEROES AND VILLAINS BATTLE FOR THE FATES OF MANKIND, AND OUR TIME HAS BECOME A MYTH... A dying man from the present arranges to have himself frozen alive - and is resurrected 900 years later, on a strange new Earth where feudal societies and futuristic technology mix with remnants of the 20th century. He begins a new life of danger, discovery... and rock'n-roll.

DARC AGES, an epic adventure with a dark undertone, also exists in an illustrated HTML edition on the Internet (URL: http://clik.to/pankrator). This is the first print edition of DARC AGES, Book I-III.

Editorial Reviews

About the Author

A.R. Yngve was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1969. In the early 1990s he worked briefly as writer-artist on his creator-owned comic strip ”E+”, published by Semic Press. DARC AGES was written and re-written under a period of several years, and first appeared as a serial on the Internet (1999-2000). Among his other finished novels to date are PARRY’S PROTOCOL, ALIEN BEACH, and TERRA HEXA. He currently lives in Scandinavia, working for the software industry. His recipe for writing: ”Work hard; read until your eyes bleed; don’t quit your day job.”

About DARC AGES: “I wanted to create an epic adventure that combined realism with the fantastic. That entertained without insulting the reader’s intelligence, and made a statement about the human condition. I intend to write more books set in that imaginary world... there are no real endings to stories, only interruptions.”

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful beyond your worst imaginations, June 28, 2005
By
This review is from: Darc Ages (Paperback)
I read this book and it was the worst experience of my life. I can't imagine anyone doing anything more horrible to a person than making him read darc ages. The story sucked. The characters, pitifully written. You ask me, this deserves a -6 rating.

Thumbs down.
