Book Description

Emily is a normal girl with a nosey mother, a deadbeat father, and an outrageous best friend. Her life is… comfortable. Until the day she discovers, she’s not as normal as she thought. Suddenly her comfortable life is being torn inside out.

Girls start dying around her apartment and Emily has a feeling there is more to the story than the police are letting on. To top it all off two sexy mysterious men have informed her that she is the killer’s target.

A vampire named Damon has stolen a book of spells and will do anything to force Emily to relinquish her powers. Powers she never realized she had. Emily must figure out what she is in order to save the life of her best friend before time runs out.

This paranomal romance is filled with sexy supernaturals and will have you laughing out loud. It's fast paced and bursting with adventure and comedy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Confused...Who is the Audience? June 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I am not sure if this book was supposed to be geared for adults or 15 year olds. If this is for young adults not a bad book with room for improvement...if it's supposed to be written for a more mature audience then this book needs some serious work. Clearly I am in the minority here giving this a 2.5; I am a tad confused about the high rating.

Emma is 22 going on 13, not very mature and her inner monologues are dreadfull. The dialogue in general is very sophomoric. There is not one character that I like...not that we are given a lot in order to know about them. All we are really given is that she is good looking and ditsy, with a gossipy mother and all the men are hot, hot, some secret sub-agency and into her. Each new male represents a different supernatural being- no discrimination here.

I gave up at 50% was not for me. I have no idea how it ended, nor do I care, the book was tiresome. Since its part 1 of something there would be no point. I hope that the writing progresses with the books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great paranormal novel but wore me out June 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I enjoyed this novel - chocked full of paranormal creatures that were interesting. But the story line never stopped. Normally I love the constant action and twists and turns the author takes me, but the story seemed to bounce a little too much. The characters were interesting, and the author has a real talent for describing hot male men, but every other page seemed to have one of them having a hissy fit or emotional melt-down. How many times can someone explode and then two minutes later forgive and get all lovey? I felt there could be just a little more background to the main characters as well. BUT even with these issues, I rated this book as 4-star. It kept me quickly turning pages, holding my breath during the twists, and never could guess where the author was taking me. I did enjoy and look forward to the next book. The story took me away from reality and into a fantasy world that I was sorry to leave. I wanted to run out to a 7-Eleven just to check out the customers! This story has a little of it all - fantasy/paranormal creatures, romance, suspense, mystery, murder and mayhem - plus a fun BFF and an obnoxious frenemy. You just can't beat that mix!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vivid, Funny and Compelling May 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Loved the book. I finished it in just a few hours because I couldn't put it down. I was lost in this book, I laughed, cried, and put emotion into it. The different supernaturals along with a love and action story really creates a world to be sucked into. I am so excited for the next one!

3.0 out of 5 stars for teens September 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
the book has really good fresh ideas and its easy to read but.. it was hard for me to have any connection with the lead heroine. it felt that the author tried to make her look cool and funny but i wasnt convinced. her reaction on discovering there r vampires around s ridicoluos.when she s in danger her thoughts r mostly about hot guys. it was a bit overboard. i stopped reading after quarter of the book. maybe for the audience younger 20 would be really intersting

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the Best August 30, 2012
By Nata
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ok, well for starters, the book is ok as far as plot lines go. But as any author should know it is also the characters that add to a story, and quite frankly these characters, and the writing is not up to par. None of the characters are fully developed enough for me to figure out if I like them or not. All I end up reading about is how hot guys keep entering into Emily's life, and just so happen to be different paranormal creatures. Emily is without a doubt, the most annoying character of all. She tends to whine wayy too much for my liking. Her incessant ranting in her head is driving me out of the book instead of further on. She can't make up her mind about the guy she "loves", Ezra. First she's like "ok, we're bf and gf", but just because he doesn't let her out the house to go save her friend, who she probably can't save anyway, she throws a hissy fit and is like, "we are so over". I honestly think she is about 13 years old. She's not mature enough at all to be dating or having intercourse, for that matter. Everyone else, there aren't enough details about them for me to pass judgment on. If it weren't for the character underdevelopment, this would be a good book. As it is, I will still try to finish it, but honestly, if Emily "breaks" up with Ezra again, whines, or has a another BF (bit** fit), this book is getting deleted.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Woman's version of Supernatural :) February 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
i have also read the second series of this book. If your looking for a new series to get into, then this is the place to start!
Fun, easy book to get into. Emily is surely boy crazy, drooling over all these supernatural guys, this is more of a Supernatural (Woman) version, my husband loves Supernatural (the tv series), and this book reminds me of it but more girly. Instead of all the hot woman Dean is hitting on, there are finally good looking guys to be hit on and teased by. I hope with the third that it will stay that way.
