Most Helpful Customer Reviews

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful By Karon S. King on January 13, 2010
Format: Kindle Edition
I would recommend this book to any inventor to get a better understanding of what to do with their invention ideas, what to expect in the long road ahead of capitalizing on their invention, what a patent includes (and the conditions of getting one), how a patent could help them, and what you can do with a patent after it's allowed. My favorite part of the book was the way the author (patent attorney) explained how inventors should write down the basic information needed to describe their inventions: identifying problems their invention solves and listing the invention's features and structural parts. I believe this advice would help inventors explain to their patent attorney what their invention really has to offer, as well as help their attorney judge the patentability of their invention. Thankfully, the book also included information on options and effects of NOT getting a patent for an invention.

The book came on schedule, it was brand new, basic and simple. The book has few details. Some of the information in the book is common sense if you originally have lots of ideas.
