5.0 out of 5 stars Review of I Dare You, September 16, 2000
This review is from: I Dare You: Stories to Scare You (Hello Reader! Level 3) (Paperback)
My five year old son loved this book. It is similar to Eek! Stories to Make You Shriek by Jane O'Connor. Ms. Keeler manages to make the stories scary enough but not too frightening for young children. The vocabulary is perfect for children learning to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Would make a great halloween read., June 27, 2001

This review is from: I Dare You: Stories to Scare You (Hello Reader! Level 3) (Paperback)
"I Dare You" is a level 3 book which is recommended for grades 1 and 2. However, my soon-to-be-3rd-grader still enjoyed it enough to read the entire book in one sitting. Simple enough for young readers to read alone and interesting enough to hold their attention. The book is divided into three stand alone scarey stories with each page being illustrated. This book would be a perfect halloween read-complete with cemeteries, ghosts, and skeletons. Also ideal for readers that enjoy scarey books but are not old enough for the goosebumps series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thrills, chills, and some laughs, too!, October 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: I Dare You: Stories to Scare You (Hello Reader! Level 3) (Paperback)
In the elementary classes I've substituted in, this book is a big hit! The bright cover immediately attracts children and the three spooky (but not too scary) stories enthrall them. The last story, "BONES IN THE BED", is especially funny. This is a perfect book for first, second, and third graders to read on their own. A winner!
