excessive vibration...,

Product indicates it comes with plywood... so you assume it cuts plywood, right? WRONG. There is no plywood in the box, and a 1/8 inch piece we purchased ourselves does NOT work in this hobby jigsaw. Very disappointing. On/Off button works fine, and suction cups stick well to counter, but it vibrates excessively making it almost impossible to hold the foam piece or paper still while the blade cuts, therefore impossible to get even edge cuts (and I'm talking an ADULT using the product!!) The clear plastic cover over the blade also distorts the edges where you want to cut, therefore you can be approx. 1/4 inch off your penned outline. Poor product.

hmm.. not great mechanics,

I must say that I am a crafter. My son uses my cricut and loves to glue and work on things with me. My son loves to use this machine. He has spent so much time working with it and cutting fun foam and having a great time. I, myself, am frustrated for him. The on/off button quit working after the first push. The light quit working within the first twenty minutes of use. the suction cups don't stick because they are to small for the toy they are on. Luckily he is working around using it and trying to make it function correctly. I am very bummed for him. The biggest kicker is not having the on/off switch stay on so he has to hold one finger on it and try to guide his project. So I gave it a three because the thought that he can run it and cut fun foam and make things has him beaming. So for me that is worth it. If you get frustrated easily with things that don't work according to the box. I wouldn't recommend it.

Works cutting the Balsa wood (up to 1/16 inch thick), the Craft Foam (2mm & 3mm thick) & Cardstock (up to 80lb weight) as stated.
However, the suction cups rarely work The machine vibrates so violently you cannot hold still what you are cutting. On top of that the clear protector over the blade distorts your project further making it harder to follow your lines. The cutting acting is more of a fine shredding of the edges. Very disappointed in this product.

I'm not sure why all the negative reviews. Yes, the E-Z Cuts It machine vibrates, but it vibrates because it's so powerful and plastic is lightweight. It has sticky suction feet. Place it on a sturdy table with a smooth surface and it's not a problem at all. My seven year-old was using it right out of the box. I was worried at first she might cut herself, but one would need very flat fingers to get around the protective barrier. Paper and foam cut like butter. It's so easy to cut, I might want to use it myself. Details are a little difficult, because the cut out paper starts slipping. Large shapes are easier than small ones. I think slicing the paper straight through is the best approach, then go back and cut off the excess. The kit comes with some stencils and foam to get started. Unfortunately, the stencil shapes are small, and it's hard to cut small. The box says it needs batteries, but it comes with a plug, so we didn't need to use batteries at all. Just remember it's a toy, not a heavy duty crafting machine. I think it makes such a great gift, I went out and bought five more just like it. ______________ UPDATE: This product may be used with the following materials: + craft foam 2 mm to 3 mm thick + balsa wood (up to 1/16: thick) + cardstock (up to 80 lb. weight)

WE TRIED THE FOAM CUTTER FROM CRAYOLA AND IT WAS NOT A GOOD PRODUCT. MY GRANDDAUGHTER TOLD ME SHE LOVES THIS ONE AND IT IS EASY TO USE. SHE HAS ONLY USED IT ON FOAM SO FAR.
