Book Description

Harlequin Blaze September 1, 2005

If there hadn't been a 24-hour blackout...

Tawny never would have confessed to Simon about his starring role in her explicit dreams. After all, Simon was the best friend of her fiancé, Elliott. Besides, Simon despised her. Didn't he?

Simon never would have had the chance to spend a night with the woman he'd wanted since he met her. If only he hadn't had to break the news about her fiancé's indiscretions first. Still, Tawny didn't seem all that heartbroken--and Simon was quite prepared to kiss any lingering hurt all better....

They never would have given in to temptation and lived out every one of their fantasies. The night was magical, life changing. But would the magic last when daybreak--and Elliott--arrived early the next morning...

4.0 out of 5 stars Jennifer LaBrecque knows how to write a steamy novel!, May 1, 2009

This review is from: Daring In The Dark (Harlequin Blaze) (Mass Market Paperback)
Daring in the Dark is by Jennifer LaBrecque and is a Harlequin Blaze book. Tawny is engaged to Elliott, but secretly dreams nightly about Elliott's best friend, Simon. Simon is also secretly smitten with Tawny as well. This story has a weird love triangle, no, make that love rectangle because as it turns out, Elliott is gay. And he has to tell Tawny because he and a guy have hooked up. I was really starting to worry about the direction that this book was going to take at this point. So anyway, Elliott makes plans to tell Tawny and asks Simon to be there when he tells her. Elliott pulls a no show and so Simon is as Tawny's place waiting for Elliott when the lights go off. The city is experiencing a black-out. Elliott is locked inside a building and can't get out when he calls Simon to ask him to break the news to Tawny for him. Simon doesn't want to, but he also is in love with Tawny so he concedes and tells her. Tawny is actually relieved because she is in love with Simon and so let the romance begin. All I can say at this point is... The dark can be very hot!!!! Jennifer knows how to write a steamy novel, and this one doesn't disappoint in that aspect, but it needed less bed hopping. I know Tawny has the hots for Simon, but she didn't need to jump in bed with him a few hours after being told that her fiance is gay. The plot line with the black-out and everything that was going on also seemed somewhat unbelievable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daring in the blackout, September 12, 2005
This review is from: Daring In The Dark (Harlequin Blaze) (Mass Market Paperback)
I loved it!
The book has some strong sensual language so be prepared for that.
The book is hot, hot, hot, very erotic.
Another great book by jennifer labrecque. This book touch issues such as the bisexuality. I tought it was great something new in the romance field.
