More About the Author

Author and journalist. Won the John Creasey Award from the Crime Writers' Association of Great Britain for first book, THE DARK APOSTLE. Been published in the UK and US and around the world; translated into eight languages. Also written under pseudonyms including Peter Lacey and Emma Cookson. REAPER, the first of a trilogy about an apocalyptic near-future, is to be published by Myrmidon Books in September, 2011, under the pseudonym Jon Grahame. ANGEL and REDEMPTION will follow.
Married, very old, two married daughters and grandchildren but think I am still 32. Could have played for Manchester United but for one small reason - I wasn't good enough. Like reading Bernard Cornwell, Elmore Leonard, John Maddox Roberts and quality writers of historical fiction and thrillers.
THE DARK APOSTLE was about the assassination of Martin Luther King. A reader in Hollywood sent a letter (this was before email) saying how much he'd enjoyed it and that he had sent a copy to James Earl Ray, who was serving life for the crime. I wrote back by return, eager to discover what Ray thought of my alternative theory about the assassination. "What did James Earl Ray say?" I asked. Back came the reply: "James Earl Ray said thank you." Very polite chap, obviously.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Dark Apostle, September 28, 2003
By
This review is from: Dark Apostle, the (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book years ago, loved it, but couldn't find more about the author. Finally, others have appeared and I'm thankful. Kilcommons writes with intrigue, lots of humor, and authenticity. I'm glad he's back on the market. But where is there info on the author?
