Product Description

When infiltrating a castle or keep an assassin would carry only the smallest of weapons so that they could easily be concealed. Small daggers coated in poison were a favored choice until the introduction of long-range weaponry. This dagger is modeled after small weapons that might have appeared during that era and is designed with concealment in mind. When housed in it's sheath it can be lashed to almost anything and measures only 11 inches long overall. The double edged stainless steel blade is sharpened to a factory edge with a subtle blood groove in the center. The entire dagger is accented with silver cast metal over a non-reflective black base. Measures 9 1/2 inches overall with a 5 1/4 inch blade, hard sheath included.

The dagger is very well constructed, looks amazing, and comes pretty sharp!

This makes for a great display piece for any collection; or to even use as an athame for those who are practicing Wiccans, as we are.

I sharpened the already sharp blade and I am amazed at it's cutting ability.

This is a great product! I love edged weapons, and i was thrilled when I received this item. The dagger itself is very well constructed. It is weighted nicely and the balance is fair. The blade and the hilt are joined stoutly, and there is no looseness. The black on the sheath and hilt are a hard plastic, but it is very sturdy.
The only downside is the "china" stamped on the blade. And the chain on the sheath does not seem true to the era that a dagger of this type would come from. Other than that i have nothing negative to say. You couldn't do much better for your money.

I purchased two of these daggers for a reenactment event. I was looking for a cheap set of knives I could wear on my belt more for show than anything else.
When I received these in the mail I was totally surprised at the quality and realism of the blades. Not only are they durable and look stunning, i ordered two of them and they came looking identical, there wasn't a single difference from one knife to the next. the sheathes are made out of a sturdy plastic and the knife is a mix of steel and plastic. The knives are very balanced and stay in the sheathes nice and tight so they don't bounce around at all. I ran around with two of these on my belt all day and hardily even noticed them there, except for all the people who stopped to ask me where I purchased such authentic looking knives.
Great product!

I'll start off with the bad, just to get it out of the way.

1. There is a chain on the sheathe, which is good, but the rings that hook the chain to the sheathe feel very cheap and are easily bendable. These rings can also get in the way of sheathing the blade completely sometimes.

2. The black parts ARE plastic, but very solid.

3. Feels a little lighter than I'd like, but that's personal.

Now for the good!

1. This blade looks simply awesome. It's a very nice looking piece.

2. The blade could definitely hurt someone if needed, but I can't see anyone actually carrying this around. haha

3. I really love the simplicity of the whole thing.

4. It's a very good knife for the price.

5. The silver parts in the picture look darker in person, which I like. Almost a grey instead of a silver.

In all, I think I may actually order another just because I like it so much. I recommend buying this.

EDIT: I'm changing my review to 3 stars, because upon closer inspection, I've noticed that the chain links are not solid. Not a single one is actually closed, which means the slip apart with any type of force. I put the blade on my belt to see how sheathing/unsheathing would work, and 2/3 times, the chain came apart somewhere. The knife is still good, but the chain isn't worth anything. I'm probably just going to take it off.

This is a really nice looking dagger for the price. I will not go as far to say that it is perfect as it has some blemishes that I will point out after I praise it first. The design is quite cool. The black and silver compliment each other quite nicely. I like the star shaped pattern on the sheath. I also like the little chain attached the the sheath as well. Mine came sharp and has no blemishes on the blade. I absolutely believe it's a nice addition to my collection.
Now a little negative feedback and the answer to the 4 out of 5 star rating.
I like the star shape pattern as I said but I do not like the plastic it is shaped on. Some kind of metal would have been nice but it's still pretty none the less. Also the handle (the black part) is the same plastic. That's all of the bad things in my oppinion. I know. Not much huh? Still I must detract 1 point.
I collect knives, daggers and swords as well as other things and as a collector I tend to make my purchases based on the looks of an item and not the actual plan of using it for some silly thing as (in this case being it's a dagger) throwing it at a wall or something. It may fall apart in that regard but as I will be keeping it on a shelf I believe it will hold together quite nicely for the rest of my lifetime. Overall I do recommend it.

Now a little technical stuff.

10 3/4" The over all length with the dagger in the sheath.
9 3/4" The dagger by itself.
6 1/4" The sheath by itself.
15/16" The width of the blade.

Check out my video.

I am a lover of blades. Knives, swords, daggers, etc etc, and I also love to attend medieval faires, which was the point of purchasing this dagger, really just a dagger to wear around at faire. Now it did not come with a chain, perhaps some do and some don't, no big deal to me, I personally don't like the chain they come with anyways. Ofcourse like others, for only $10 i didn't expect much, the fact that it's description says that it is steel was impressive enough for me to give it a try, and i really really like it. The scabbard is some type of plastic-esque material, but it looks really cool, and the blade itself is just awesome. The name assassin dagger is just perfect, it's just the right size, has the blood groove, I'm personally going to order 2 or 3 for my faire outfit, and if I could get away with it, I would just wear it everywhere I went. ;P
