I like the idea of vampire's being a alien species. But to be frank in this book the main character, A Doctor, seemed more then just confused about his "taste" for blood. It seemed to go on forever his denial of who he was. Even after meeting someone of his own kind and all the proof that was presented to him. I got tired and bored with his denials and stopped the book many times. I have to admit I didn't enjoy this book as much as I have others by this author.
