Good, but missing some items,

This update to the first edition of Dark Conspiracy by GDW (in 2 parts - the other being the Player's Guide) is a good compilation of the original rules with respect to what the referee needs. It also updates the background (even though some of the dates have now come and gone for this alternate future). However, much of the original material that the back cover says is in the book is left out of this Basic Edition.The Master's edition is a much better version (and is over twice as thick with all the missing items). Regrettably, this was only sold on DPI's web site and is now long out of print and virtually impossible to find (and all the Sin City books and 2nd edition adventures assume you have the Master's Edition). It makes a nice enough addition to a DC fan's library if found for a decent price, but you're probably better off finding the 1st edition rules and supplements and trying to adapt them. |
