If you are a fan of The Dark Crystal you must buy this figure. Not only does it feature a stunning likeness to the character, it also has a complete nude body sculpted underneath the tattered robes. Every detail is included, from the tiny bird wing/arms to the bumpy, wart covered skin and bony spines. The paint work is also exceptional on both the body/head and clothing. There is articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists and the tail is a bendy tail. The legs are stationary, but that really doesn't matter. So if you're thinking about picking this up, don't hesitate. I only hope they continue this line of characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally, He's Arrived, May 30, 2009

The Dark Crystal came out in 1982. Twenty seven years later, my Chamberlain action figure arrives (well worth the wait, haha). I love him, but a couple of issues:
He's not really mobile. His arms go up and down but not very well because of the long sleeves of his robes. He had trouble standing up straight because his tail tips him forward a bit, but if you bend if far enough he should be fine. So as a toy for kids to play with, it's not one of the best (it's recommended for ages 14 and up).
For display purposes, this is a great, highly-detailed figure, and the price is something any true fan is willing to pay.

This figure is an accurate image of the actual character. A collector would be very pleased. However, not something to be played with. Movable parts seem a bit fragile.

This is more of a collectible than a "toy." But the price was right and being a big fan of The Dark Crystal, I thought I would enjoy having this item on my shelf. It's very detailed and I hope that we see similar items to this one from Neca in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars "HmmmMMMmmm..." If you've seen the movie, you know the sound!, December 5, 2009

I got this for my birthday and it lives right next to my computer screen. I've loved this film since it broke records back in '81, '82, was it? I do believe The Dark Crystal still stands as the first non-CGI movie to feature no human actors; it was all Froud's designs, Oz's voices, and Henson's muppeteering, with all the humans in the film in Landstrider or Garthim costumes, or doing distance stunt work for the Gelflings. The detail and coloring on this are excellent, but it is decidedly a toy for the teen/adult collector--it's beautiful in its own grody way, but it is not for heavy play. It has parts that can come off and be a choking hazard, and some parts I think might just break easily under the dedicated attentions of anyone whose age is still in single digits. The Chamberlain has always been a favorite of mine, and I treasure this tiny replica!Dark Crystal Chamberlain 6 inch Action Figure
