THIS IS MUSIC THAT MOVES YOU,

Once I heard this I knew it was going to be in my cd player for days. I am an electronic music aficiando - take my word you must get this album - it plays like a dream! Probably my favorite album! This album is experimental but does not take you outside of the beat - it is griping and soothing at the same time- a masterpiece!

I have to agree with the other reviews, and i've had this album quite a while, i picked it up while in South Africa and it is great to hear some more progressive sounds coming out of the country. While drawing the obvious comparisons to Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and the Warp sound, it has to be said that Felix adds a unique twist with the influence of his native South Africa seeping through the melodies. This album can really be called beautiful and original. If you like this you really have to get hold of his previous album "4/4 Down The Stairs", a darker journey i find, but as intriguing, with the cracking tune "Donkey Rattle" to open.

I think that one of the best aspects of quality electronic music such as this is the sounds the artist has chosen to use. This album is full of interesting beats made from a wide range of crunches, thuds and other, more nondescript noises.
It is also full of beautiful melodies and soundscapes, jumping from smooth acoustic guitars and light melodies to much darker sounding electronic beats and deep, dark bass sounds. Felix is South African and you can really hear this in his music. Great Album.

you definatly hear the south african influence here. if you are into the dreamscape music, with the likes of boards of canada, labradford, sigur ros, etc, this is a must buy, or worth the listening. it goes everywhere to up-tempo fun, to track #6, which is a perfect example of what the whole album is like. there is not a single track i skip, the whole being an experience that everyone should enjoy.
