This is awesome, May 1, 2003
This review is from: Dark Days (Audio CD)
If you haven't heard Duff's band Loaded, then you are missing out. He gave us a piece of his soul here, that's for sure. I saw these guys live in Tokyo last year in a small club, and they rocked the house. This is a deep, moving, and also hard rocking CD here, a real step forward for Duff. I believe that Duff has seen some Dark Days by the sound of this record. Very inspiring to hear someone work through the past to create beauty. I can't believe they didn't release this in the US. It is a beautiful CD, and one of the favorites in my collection.

Great cd. Sobriety does wonders for a person., January 30, 2005
I have had this cd since it was released, I was lucky enough to have a friend who had to go to Japan for business pick this up for me. Duff McKagan has come along ways, as we all know nowadays he is the bass player with the great modern rock band Velvet Revolver. Duff sings lead on this as well as handles bass of course and electric guitar as well as piano. Duff is a highly talented musician and this album shows that. His vocals are very well done and fit this type of music right on target. Speaking on Duff's vocals , Duff always was a decent background vocalist in Guns n Roses, and he also did well on Neurotic Outsiders, but on this album his vocals are the highlight, a vast improvement from his 1993 album Believe in Me, he has cleaned his life up drastically since then and it shows. The songs are all well done and show elements of his punk roots, especially the standout lead track Seattle Head, I really enjoy every song here with the standouts being from his unreleased Beautiful Disease a great album in its own right. Closing Duff has a great album here and i think if this would have been picked up in the USA by a major label I think this would have been a highly successful album.

A masterpiece, March 21, 2002
This album is a true masterpiece. Next to the second Snakepit disc, this may be the best album a former member of G-N-R has put out. The overall vibe of the album has a dark, almost murky atmosphere. I liked this CD instantly after the first listen. Duff has grown in leaps and bounds since his first (undertated) album "Believe in Me." This album shows how truly talented Duff Mckagan is. Although he was an important member of G-N-R, his presence was overshadowed by the musical geniuses of Axl, Slash, and Izzy. There is nothing on the radio today that sounds like Loaded. This is a true rock band. This CD blows away Limp Bizkit, or Creed, or just about anyone else out today
