Alot of horror anthologies can be hit or miss; riding on a story by one or two big name writers with a lot of stories that are "eh."

Dark Delicacies 3 is a great collection of short stories. The diversity in this book is pretty broad so each story is fresh. Some of the stories contain violence/gore, sex, cursing, etc, so this isn't necessarily a book for the younger crowd or those who are offended by such material.

A few of the stories fall short, but others really shine through. I will say that I tend to skip stories that include political commentary as that's not why I read horror stories...if I want commentary or political opinions, I can turn on any number of 24 hour news channels.

If you are a fan of horror, especially horror short stories, this is a must-have and it will keep you entertained.

All three of the Dark Delicacies books have been great. Anthologies can be uneven, but this one, like numbers 1 and 2, is a great collection. Buy it!

Only 1 of the short stories is weak, the rest is pretty good, including some that are really, really good. Lots of different styles, so you never know what to expect before each one, and you'll have some nice surprises. Overall, it is very entertaining, and I'm looking forward to read the other two books.

These, like volumes 1 and 2 are really great stories. There's a wide variety in this one, some really original, but they are all enjoyable for the horror fan.

I bought all 3 Dark Delicacies collections, I am a freak for short horror stories. All 3 were solid, if unexceptional. Will definitely buy Dark Delicacies 4. Buy this if you like horror short stories, to encourage him to continue the series. According to his bio, he is a totally cool horror freak himself.

A wonderful collection of the macabre. The first story is the best. But, I have to say that it pays NOT to order books for Amazon. My book had a hole in the back. Grrrr. And this isn't the first book I've purchased that has shown up in less than ideal condition. Support your local book store.
