I waited over an entire year for this art book to come out. I have been a fan of Dany & Dany for years and the long wait for this book was well worth it. The art is beautiful and very detailed. If you've been to Dany & Dany's website and seen the pictures posted there, you'll be happy to know that the pictures that appear in this art book are brand new.

The book is divided into sections and each section contains illustrations of the characters from different Dany & Dany works- I.D.O.L., The Lily and the Rose, Wishing for the Moon, and a series that hasn't (but hopefully will be) been published here in the United States- Daimones.

There is only one thing that really disappointed me about this book however- to my surprise, this book is entirely in black in white! While the pictures are still pretty impressive, they would have been perfect if Yaoi Press had printed it in color. I cannot, for the life of me, imagine why they would have printed it in black and white. The cover is in color and it is gorgeous! This is the first art book I have bought that was in black and white. I'd have preferred that they brought the price up a little and made it in color. This is the only "bad" thing/ disappointment with this book.

For those who are curious, this book does have a few nude illustrations and sexual situations, but no intimate body parts are shown- they are always artfully hidden by a hand or a knee or whatever.

Overall, this is a great book and well worth the price. I definately recommend this book for Dany and Dany and yaoi fans alike.

I really wanted to see another artbook from Yaoi Press, so I came up with this one and was again rather disappointed. Only 64 pages and again everything (except the cover) was black/white.

The artbook is devided in different parts and contains illustrations for Dany&Dany's well known mangas "Wishing for the Moon", "Idol" and "The Lily and the Rose". Also a lot new illustrations for the new series Daimones. Nearly every illustrations in this artbook is a new one, especially made for the illustration collection, that's why I'm giving 2 stars.

The main problem is the artbook itself. Yaoi Press hasn't a good quality in my opinion. The pages aren't good, and the binding isn't well made. The only outstanding illustration is the cover image and if you only know the cover, you will be disappointed getting only a b/w artbook.

The other problem are the pictures and illustrations. I don't like the new style of Dany&Dany. The illustrations are so over- screentoned that it hurts and crashing the atmosphere. The person disappear in the detailed backgrounds and the many screentones (clothes, faces etc.). It "kills" the characters that way and especially "The Lily and the Rose" shows that. To many PC- Colo and PC-screentones and together with the backgrounds (that looks like manipulated photographes sometimes) just don't work out.

I really hope, they come back to their art again some day. If you like the new style and don't mind b/w illustrations, take a look, but there are definetly better artbooks out there.

I love it!!! I got all Comics by Dany and Dany and the Art Book is the last point upon an i. ;-) This means in Germany that it belongs to the Best!! lol

This is a very HOT art book, even in black and white. The guys in are smoking hot and definitely would lead one to want to read the novels that they are featured in. It didn't really matter that it is a Russian addition since this is an art book and not one that is going to be read. The cover art is fantastic. It came in perfect condition. A book to be looked at and enjoyed over and over again. The guys are not as revealing as one might think from yaoi, but they are easy on the eyes. There is some juicyness here but not as must as some other yaoi art books. But still a great buy for yaoi art fans. Fangtastic.

Dany & Dany express a sensuous and romantic view of homoeroticism. A fine complement to anyone's Library of Art books.
