About the Author

Dominique Adair: Dominique Adair is the pen name of award-winning novelist, J.C. Wilder. Adair/Wilder (she chooses her name according to her mood - if she's feeling sassy and brazen, it's Adair - if she's feeling dark and dangerous, it's Wilder) lives just outside of Columbus, OH where she skulks around town plotting her next book and contemplating where to hide the bodies (from her books of course - everyone knows that you can't really hide a body as they always pop up at the worst times).

Margaret Carter: Marked for life by reading DRACULA at the age of twelve, Margaret L. Carter specializes in the literature of fantasy and the supernatural, particularly vampires. She received degrees in English from the College of William and Mary, the University of Hawaii, and the University of California. She is a 2000 Eppie Award winner in horror, and with her husband, retired Navy Captain Leslie Roy Carter, she coauthored a fantasy novel, WILD SORCERESS.

Kit Tunstall: Kit Tunstall lives in Idaho with her husband, near family and friends. In addition to books available through Ellora's Cave, she is the author of 365 Days of Lara Branson (available late October, 2002), and Undercover Mother (available by September, 2003). "Last Kiss" by Dominique Adair. At a party Elaine meets Count Alex Romanov, whom she has dreamed of for years but never met before. He believes Elaine is the reincarnation of his lost love. In a short period of time, they fall in love. However Elaine has not much time left on this earth unless Alex can find a way to keep her with him through eternity. "Last Kiss" is a very graphic and sensual erotic paranormal romance that enables the audience to feel the intensity of feelings between Alex and Elaine.

"Night Flight" by Margaret Carter. To stop the steady reduction in their numbers, the vampire council instituted a breeding program using human DNA. Gillian, who is one quarter human, goes away with her friend Paul for the weekend. Paul is shocked when he sees her change. Once he recovers, they engage in a sexual marathon. Afterward Paul wonders if he is in love or is being hypnotized to feel that way. Margaret Carter has written a very erotic vampire novella that makes the species vampire seem veryreal.

"Heart of Midnight" by Kit Tunstall - Blind and unable to have children, her uncle and aunt sells Catriona to a brothel in Lasenbourg. The vampire Quintos rescues Catriona from a sadist on her first night. He takes her to his estate where she discovers he's a psychic vampire who feeds off emotions. She wants him to make her a vampire so she can regain her sight but he refuses, fearing that she'll leave him once she sees his scarred face. HEART OF MIDNIGHT is an erotic vampiric version of Beauty and the Beast

This is a wonderfully selected of stories from Ellora's Cave and I think the title Dark Dreams sets it out beautifully!

LAST KISS by DOMINIQUE ADAIR is a vampire of the times. Alexei has lost his love and continues to try and find her over time, once he does he does not want to let her go. A very romantic tale.

HEART OF MIDNIGHT by KIT TUNSTALL sets her vampire tale back in time and by no means is this duo perfect! And yet, their love for each other is blind to any and all misfortunes.

NIGHT FLIGHT by MARGARET CARTER writes of a vampire who has conflicts with how she is supposed to get on with her own kind and humans as well.

All are written beautifully and the grouping work perfectly together. Definitely a must for any vampire lover :-)
