I adore Luke and Bres, the two fae men competing for the heroine, Quinn. She is my favorite -- a strong, smart, gorgeous woman who kicks butt in the most spectacular ways. The third book in the Celtic Legacy series centers around Quinn and Bres, my personal favorite. Bres is dark, dangerous and yummy and Quinn finds that no matter how hard she tries, she can't ignore her attraction to him.

Many books in this genre are filled with extremely graphic sex scenes. That is something this one doesn't have. What it does have is good old-fashioned romantic tension between the hero and heroine that is vastly more appealing.

This third book was a very satisfying end to the trilogy. I love the fact that the story is all tied up and can easily be the end but it also leaves the potential for the series to continue on from the end. This is a shorter book as well.

I was instantly pulled into this story but the first book and also really enjoyed the second book. I was nervous that the third one would be lacking as that often happens but it didn't.

We find Quinn still struggling to understand what she has to do to save the world. She finds she has the strength to do what has to be done even when it is hard. She also has to look deep in herself and decide if she has pure intentions and ambitions or if she has selfish motivates.

I love the romance that is woven into the story and that Quinn accepts the world doesn't stop while she figures out her love life.

I will definitely be re-reading this series and as these were my first look at Shannon Mayer, I will be purchasing more of her books.

I feel like I need to catch my breath! This was a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy! Well done Shannon!!!!!!!! It was an amazing story that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish!

The characters were amazing and the story plunged between numerous realms that were described in such a way that you could see what the characters could see and also feel the fear and excitement that they were experiencing!

There were incidents where I teared up and others where I did everything from giggle to literally laugh out loud!

This is a must read for anyone looking for an excitement filled escape into the world of the Fae and their brethren!

This is a good story; the author makes excellent use of mythology and fantasy to create a good book. So, why the lower score? I've read several of the author's books now, and I've come to the conclusion that she is an excellent storyteller, but she is a poor writer. This is actually a good position to be in; editing is easily fixable, yet poor storytelling is not. There is only one thing separating this author between good and great: editing. The story in this book is good, the author seems to be adept at marketing, and the cover is well-composed--it appears to be professionally designed (although I suspect most men will shy away from the last two books, thinking they are erotic romance novels).

I have one piece of advice to this author: spend the money, hire a professional editor. If you had a Cadillac, would you let your friends paint it? In almost every case, the answer should be "no"--but understand that I would not give this advice to someone whose car is worth less than the cost of the paint. I mean absolutely no disrespect to the editors; I'm sure they worked hard--editing is very hard work--but this author needs someone who understands the proper use of commas, semicolons, dashes, and apostrophes--someone who understands how to tweak the readability so the reader forgets he or she is reading.

I think I might have picked this book up when it was free and I noticed it on my fire when I was looking for something to read. I like Fae stories (along with many other paranormal ones) so I decided to give it a read tonight and I'm glad I did :)

Please note this is the third book, which I didn't realize starting...though it can be read as a stand alone, I still got the gist of things even if I was a bit confused at times, it wasn't enough to take away my enjoyment of the story.

Basically you have two girls, sisters, that are prophesied to kill one another. One is basically possessed by Chaos and the other is not and is pure of heart. I didn't really care about the Chaos sister since we were following the other sister around. This sister has two guys who love her and one is Fae (light? I think) and the other is a Dark Fae and she doesn't want to chose between them, she knows in order to beat Chaos she needs both men in her life.

There is a fascinating blend of characters in the story, rich, with unique creatures I don't see much or at all in stories... like Banshees and these special horses who live/ride in the water but have fangs/eat flesh lol they are called Aughisky/Aughiskies.

I like my books a bit spicier... as in detailed sex scenes between the two main characters... I know cheesy but at least I can admit it :P This story is one of those that you don't get the sex, unfortunately...at least not in this one. Still worth the read though and if you don't like sex at all in your stories but like Paranormal Romance that is less on the spicy scenes I think you'd like it :) I liked it and I like mine spicier so either way your good to go with this author.
