Great Book,

I really enjoyed this book, so much so that when I lost it I spent countless hours trying to find it again! Not an easy thing when you can't remember the title!!! I think the male lead character is a bit too dominate but he is Italian!A marriage of minds . . . "It's fate -- even when we're miles apart the link between us holds!" Saskia thought that two years was long enough to confirm that she would never be reunited with her estranged husband, Domenico. But it seemed there was no end to the strange bond that had existed between them: Domenico was waiting for her when she arrived on vacation in Venice! Saskia had always had the uncanny ability to read Domenico's mind, so she was unnerved to find that now he, too, knew what she was thinking. Once again, she was somehow tied to him physically and mentally, and there seemed to be no escape. Except that, in Domenico's eyes, a happy marriage should be completed with children . . .

some paranormal,
By RomReader (TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dark Fate (Wedlocked!) (Harlequin Presents) (Paperback)
Gardener heroine is on a business trip to Venice with her boss. She encounters her wealthy Italian husband whom she left 2 years ago, after his father choked her for miscarrying his desired heir. She doesn't want to reconcile with him even though they still love each other & have an even deeper connection with each other b/c of his family & her fear of not being able to provide him with an heir. This was a decent romance, albeit the paranormal stuff. It was angtsy. I empathized with the blocks that interfered with the main characters marriage. Although I understood why heroine didn't think that she could be straightforward with Hero about his family, she was not emotionally strong enough to have done so & therefore caused a lot of pain for Hero & herself as as consequence. Hero's abiding love for heroine was touching. The paranormal element was an interesting touch esp since Lamb wrote this book before the paranormal-romance frenzy. It added a bit to Hero & heroine's emotional connection. Sexual chemistry was good. Love scenes were ok. Recommended. |
