At the end of the book, it felt like the story did not progress in any way.

I am seriously disappointed also because Ever keeps thinking that Damen wont love her if she tells him the things she has done to get in trouble.

This book was great but because it is a series you are left hanging at the end, waiting for the next book.

**SLIGHT SPOILERS**
Just had this downloaded to my Kindle today. Finished it today. Quick read. Dark Flame picks up where the last book in the series left off. It begins with Ever explaining to her best friend Haven, that she is now immortal. Ever basically spends the whole book feuding with Haven about her new found immortality, and about Roman. Haven does not believe that Roman tried to kill her. And of course, Ever is still trying to get Roman to give her the antidote, while trying to fight a binding spell gone wrong which accidently binds her to Roman instead of the reverse. She becomes obsessed with Roman as a result and can't even be in proximity of him without freaking out. Oh, and then there is Jude who learns who he was in his past lives, learns about the immortals, and screws things up in a big way.
I have loved the series so far and was anxiously awaiting this book in the series in hopes of getting some resolution to the whole Damen and Ever "curse". If your expecting a resolution to that particular dilemma in this book, you will be disappointed. I was very hopeful as I was nearing the end of the book as to how it looked like things were going to be resolved, but sadly, it didn't turn out as I expected. It did not care for how things were left between Ever and Haven, or how things were "resolved??" with Roman for that matter. I think having Ever and Damen not be able to be "together" through now the 4th book has drawn it out a little too long. By the time the series draws to an end, will we ever get to see them happy together? Will Ever ever catch a break??? I felt very depressed at the end of the book. Ever lost her best friend in a manner of speaking and was so close to having it all to just have it ripped from her in the end....again. I will still read the next one, but I really hope things end on a happier note.

When I started this series with the first book, I had high hopes. By the time I finished the third book, I felt like hitting my head against the wall over Ever's stupid annoying mistakes. I had hoped to find some resolution in this book, but we get nowhere.

Haven is an immature brat throughout this book and is grating. Ever couldn't do anything right to save her life. She is no closer to breaking the curse for Damon. Zero plot advancement there.

I despise Roman and hated the storyline here with Ever accidentally making the mistake of bonding herself to him (will she EVER learn?)

The pacing throughout this book was off and the story was jumpy.

I think there are two more books to go in this series and I really don't care enough anymore to keep reading for an ending.

If you want a stupid, hopeless heroine who couldn't do anything right and doesn't connect with the hero over multiple books, then these are the books for you. For me, I am done.

The author should have stuck with a trilogy instead of ruining the story for the sake of more books and more money.

I really liked Evermore and Blue Moon in this series but Shadowland and Dark Flame were both a struggle to read. Dark Flame was especially hard. Haven is really gratingly annoying as an immortal and the Roman plot is getting old quickly. There is absolutely NO RESOLUTION at all in this book to the issues between Ever and Damen. Also, the writing in this book made both Ever and Haven vseem extremely whiny. The book on a whole seemed convoluted and rushed compared to Evermore. This book pretty much ruined the series for me...

I have to agree with many other reviewers, the book should have ended with the last book. I have lost interest in the series all together now. I mean come on, talking about beating a dead horse! I probably won't be reading any more books in this series.

I loved this series when it started. The first two books were great. I loved the idea of Immortals. I loved Damen and Ever. But ever since Shadowland...it has been going down hill like a runaway go cart on wheels! Seriously! Who wants to read a book about two characters that cannot touch each other!!?? I thought we would get some resolution...but we got nada. And I really did not like how she ended it with that whole scene with Jude/Roman. I did not buy this one and would only recommend checking them out if you are into boring yourself to death. At this point....I do not think I will be reading the next book.

I really don't have much else to say that hasn't already been said... Started out loving the characters, now I am just beating my head against the wall after the last two. I completely agree that the only reason there is for having 6 books is so that she can obviously make more money, because lets face it, all the books pretty much have the same theme: Ever has big problem to solve, but too retarded to solve it (I mean how many times is she gonna lie and hide things from Damen before she gets that it only makes things worse????). I honestly don't think she deserves Damen anymore. I don't think I will read the next one, because I bet if I just read the 6th one nothing will have changed and it will pick up right where I left off with the 4th, for that matter the 2nd and 3rd. Very disappointing that the author has obviously chosen money over quality! And one more thing, does Ever even truly love Damen, because this whole series all she talks about is wanting to have sex with him! I mean seriously, there is more to a relationship than sex!!!
