I watched this movie when I was 9 or so. It totally broke my heart. When the horse rolled down the hill and almost died (you have to see half way into the movie to know what I'm talking about)I got so upset and shut the movie off, until about a week later when curiousity got the better of me. This movie simply intranced me, I had never thought about what would happen if it were myself that was crippled until this movie. I recommend it if you like drama, don't mind crying, and like horses/

Wonderful Movie about a girl who loses her ability to walk along with a Dark Race horse.

The young and gorgeous actress Ari Meyers stars as a troubled girl who gets injured in an accident. She then has to learn a whole new way of life without use of her legs.

Good movie especially for teens. The only parts I didn't like were the goofy "romantic" scenes between Ed Begley and Mimi Rogers...they had absolutely no on-screen chemistry. The interaction between the girl and the horse is great. Worthwhile.

Wonderful family movie, heartwarming and endearing. A++++

I first saw the last 1/4 on Animal Planet on cable about a year ago. It stunned me and amazed me at the same time. I hunted high and low for a copy to no avail. I emailed Animal Planet and found out that it would be on again on President' s Day. The stupid VCR didn't work! I finally found a place that could order me a copy and it arrived today. I watched it all the way through. Amazing. A great family story if I've ever seen one. Buy this movie, you'll be SO glad you did!

I bought this movie for my daughter because it was one of her favorite childhood movies. Unfortunately, it is not out on DVD yet - however, this was - according to my daughter "an excellent movie, just like she remembered."

This movie went a bit too slow for me, but overall, it was a good film. Made me cry a couple times when soem horrific things happened to the horse. But it was genuinely a well written story and Begley, Jr. is always a solid actor. The man is one of the greats of his era, as his Oscar winning father was a great in his. Tab Hunter did a great job with a small part. But his greatest film is: Track of the Cat.

I really love this movie.Its kinda sad but I really love it cause I like almost all horse movies. :)

I have a handicapped child age 14 and most people never realize what they don't have until they lose it. This is true In all walks of life ;love hate marriage death dervoice,loss of limbs,hearing,smell,etc,, I have a son also who is age 3 and whenever we saw this movie together he said "that was a good movie wheren't it mama"{by the way I am from the deep south }
