Book Description

10 and up5 and upVillain.Net
When a mysterious benefactor springs him from Diablo Island penitentiary, Jake Hunter is back on the run, trying to locate the man who wiped out his family’s memories of him and dodging the efforts of the hero Chameleon to track him down. Unfortunately, his benefactor wants something in return—for Jake to kidnap the president of the United States. Sure, Jake’s the most powerful supervillain on earth, but will the ordinary schoolkid in him be up to the deadly challenge? Dark Hunter is an action-packed adventure, full of even more dastardly villains and exciting showdowns and intricately linked to the anti-series, Hero.com.

About the Author

In between masterminding the Hero.com and Villain.net series, ANDY BRIGGS writes comics, movies, and TV shows—and enjoys it more than he probably should. His claims about living in a floating castle somewhere in the UK have yet to be proven. . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too, June 13, 2010
This review is from: Dark Hunter (Villain.Net) (Paperback)
Jake Hunter is tired of being a villain. He wants his life back the way it was before he visited [...] and turned into the most powerful super-villain in the world.

Locked up in Diablo Island Penitentiary by the heroes who wiped his family's memory of him, he longs for nothing more than to get out, get revenge on the man who wiped his family's memories or make him reverse the memory damage, and get back to living a normal teenage life.

When a mysterious benefactor helps him escape and causes the [...] website's server to go down, Jake's ecstatic - until that person wants him to kidnap the President of the United States. Can Jake get his life back to the way it was without getting recaptured by the [...] people? Will Jake kidnap the President?

The plot is fast-paced and enjoyable. This adventure is filled with action, grayed lines between good and evil, and well-developed characters. Avid and reluctant readers who like action, superheroes, magical realism, and fantasy will enjoy reading DARK HUNTER, as well as the other books written by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars This makes me want to be a villain..., January 7, 2010
This review is from: Dark Hunter (Villain.Net) (Paperback)
The following is a review by my son who is 10.

Andy does it again. This book was a relic in the Hero.com/Villain.net series. It all had a good plot, the discovery of how to solve the mysteries of the consequences Jake's decision of going to Villain.net, and more. Mr. Briggs put all the pieces together in an action-packed yet intriguing manner. This book left me hanging at the end: What will reflect Jake's choice as joining the Council of Evil, and what things will he be forced to do in order to maintain that coveted position? I recommend that the action-lovers read this, yet the people that can withstand some impossible feats which are... unpredictable.
