This is the second book in the Dark Celtic series. I was hooked into these books after reading the first one and I purchased this one as soon as I was done with book one. Like the first book it short. It also keeps the story going at a great pace. The characters continue to become more defined and enjoyable.

Quinn has more hard choices to make. She then has to deal with the aftermath of what happens when she makes the wrong choice. Does she try to fix things and make amends or continue with her destiny and try to save the world?

I barely put this book down and then purchased the third book the next day. If you enjoy paranormal stories this is a book for you. It has romance but it is not a para-romance book (no adult read only situations).

I've been eagerly waiting for this sequel to this series for quiet some time now, itching to find out what would happen next. The author did NOT disappoint! I devoured this entire book in one day. I couldn't put it down; in fact, I was reading it while making myself meals and throughout daily tasks - yes, it's THAT GOOD! Excellent, just amazing!

The characters from the first book return to continue a very creative and unique story. There are some great twists in this book that I definitely wasn't expecting. The author does such a great job and is one of my favorite story tellers - she truly knows how to evoke emotion from her readers. Although this book has a lot of action, I still had the sense of the love triangle from the first book. I must say, that although this book shows a lot more of Luke, I still find myself cheering for team Bres. Everything I want in a good book. Even now, I'm still lost in the world of Quinn, wondering what will happen next.

Speaking of what will happen next, I'm now eargly waiting for book number #3 to come out so that I can find out what happens next. This is a MUST read! Highly recommended!

I got the first book in this series because it was only $.99 and I fully expected it to be a cheesy romance novel full of spelling errors and poorly written. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading. They are very short (I am not a fast reader and the first book took me only three hours to read - the second was slightly shorter), so the plot does move at a very quick pace and is pretty "action-y." Throughout the trilogy, there were a few minor plot holes and spelling/wording errors, but I am a very technically critical reader and I do mean it when I say they were few and minor. The story is not dense by any means, but was interesting and entertaining, and I was surprised to find that I did enjoy it. The characters are believable and are motivated by emotions that anyone can identify with.

I had been waiting for the second part of this trilogy since reading Dark Waters... well worth the wait. I really liked that this is a true trilogy- the author didn't give a large chunk of the book to the backstory, and there is a definite cliffhanger of an ending that makes you anxious for the third book! Because of this, I would recommend reading the first in the series before this- it won't make as much sense without it. I really enjoyed the character development- it is impossible to label "good" and "bad" for the main characters, each is a complicated mix, and this makes their actions less predictable- which kept me turning pages late into the night! Looking forward to the next...

I love the fact that this book is not all a fairy tail ending where no one dies. It is a bit on the real side. People die and while that is not always a good thing. It is not simply, a case, heroine kills the bad guys and goes home happy. There is sadness a whole lot of action and i could not put it down. My only problem is that it was too short. I love long novels. However, even with it being so short, it never felt that way. Very well written. I have now become a fan of this artist.

Glad I went on to book 2- the story gets better and better. Twists and betrayals make for a great read. Get past book one and it falls together! Nice descriptions and compelling relationships with the running theme - can you change your destiny? Looking forward to more!
