There seems to be some disagreement concerning the quality of this piece. If you are expecting a cold-cast resin statue, that is not what you're going to get. This is a large PVC statue, and because of that it's going to have a more "plastic-y" feel to it. That being said, don't assume that this is a cheap, low-quality collectible. The sculpt has been done with great care, showing the small details of Batman's original suit from the movie. The headsculpt is also very nice, and even though it's mostly cowl and less Christian Bale, it's easily recognizable as that particular version of Batman. He does not come preassembled, though, so you'll have to put a few pieces together when you take him out of the box. By no means is it anything complicated, though.

The price seems steep at first, but that's only because it's hard to judge the actual size of the statue from the pictures shown. This is a fairly weighty piece, as Batman himself is actually pretty bulky. Add that to the added height he receives from the base and width due to the flowing cape, and you have a surprisingly big statue. (The box he came in was pretty massive.) At a little more than a hundred dollars, this is actually a pretty standard price for something well-done and made out of PVC.

Not to say that a hundred dollars is CHEAP, but for what you're getting it isn't completely unreasonable. Kotobukiya has always done a great job in the past with its PVC statues of all sizes, and this Batman is no exception to the rule.

This was a Christmas present for my son who collects these statues and he has a rather vast collection. This was such a disappointment as it is a cheap plastic kit that had to be assembled (with some difficulty I might add). It was not at all what I expected. For the price paid I thought I was getting a collectible figure. It is not. It obviously was a poor selection on my part but not being familiar with these things and seeing what I paid for it, I totally believed I was getting something else. Not at all worth even half the price.

I just love it! I bough it as a gift for my husband (and for me). Starting from the package, the unwrapping till the product, everything is high quality. I really like the special pose of the statue, if you put it on an high shelf is like he is - watching over you... The material is great, the suit movements are so real, you can almost feel the wind over it. The only thing I feel is missed is a light on the base. Still very impressive.

Do not listen to the other review of this statue, it is absolutely awesome! It is highly detailed, and does a very good job of portraying Christain Bale's likeness. While I personally do not believe it is not worth the retail price of $125, it is still a great statue for any serious Batman fan!

I just received my action figure and assembled it...it's pretty cool. I love the figure and it really is an awesome and intimidating pose. The figure is very easy to assemble. The only advice I would give is to watch when pressing Batman onto the bat signal. The bat signal is not as rugged as Batman and you could break the bat emblem on the signal if you press too hard. Batman is very well balanced on the bat signal, although the bat signal is very, very light compared to Batman, who is very heavy. Although that is true and he is top heavy, this will not tip over on a solid surface. It's very stable.

The only thing I didn't like about this is that in the pictures I have seen, Batman looks like a matte finish and he is a little more glossy than I would have liked (ie: his cape). But, big deal. The detail is awesome and it really looks like Christian Bale. Again, it's an awesome pose and it looks great when assembled. I wouldn't pay a lot for this....I got him for $55 on sale at Urban Collectors (can I say that on Amazon?). Oh well, I wouldn't pay too much more than that. All in all, I recommend this to any Batman fan. The pose is too cool to pass up :)
