Please don't buy this old book with a new title.,
By
This review is from: Dark Matter (Paperback)
If even one person is fooled into buying this book then it is a shame. This book is the Footprints of God book that Iles released a few years ago. Iles is probably one of my favorite authors and all of his books are great, except this one. I don't know whose idea it was to rerelease an old book with a new title to try and sucker people into buying the same book twice. I hope it wasn't the author's idea. In conclusion, this is a rerelease of "The Footprints of God," written only a few years ago.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY,

I ALMOST BOUGHT THE BOOK SINCE I REALLY LIKE GREG ILES' WRITING. BUT AMAZON HAD NO INFO ON THE BOOK, SO I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW I MISSED IT. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, I FOUND OUT THAT IT IS THE SAME BOOK AS "FOOTPRINTS OF GOD" WHICH I ENJOYED BUT HAVE ALREADY READ.

Luckily I caught this title change, but just bought "24 Hours", which of course I already own as "Trapped".
I really like Iles' writing, and purchase everything I can find by him, but I really don't want to buy the same thing twice. Thanks to everyone for alerting people in these reviews.

I had already read this book. It is a British retitle of the Footprints of God in America. The book was in good condition. Seller was good and speedy.

I have never read a Greg Iles novel that I didn't love. Same for Dark Matter. Always consistant, always outstanding, always drags you into his web. If you haven't yet read Iles, this is a good time and place to start.

I have every book by Greg Iles. Each one is different but all have that nail biting, I can't go to bed till I find out what happens quality. Without giving away any of the fun of reading it, Dark Matter keeps you speculating and then you do a lot of thinking about it after the end.

Not bad,
This review is from: Dark Matter (Paperback)
the book is a much slower start than other Isles books I've read. Nothing like most of the murder mysteries he has written, but by the time I was 1/4 of the way through I was hooked. Just about done and it's keeping me going to to end!

Somewhere between science and spirituality,
By
This review is from: Dark Matter (Paperback)
This is the first book of Greg Iles that I have ever read, as I had heard that he was an excellent novelist. I cannot say that I was disappointed with the book and there are many interesting parts to it. The first is of course the fact that the book raises questions as to the relationship between science and spirituality. this is of course an old question and remains still unanswered. The other part I did enjoy was the study it makes of relationship between Government and Industry. In this instance the NSA has contracted a corporation to build a revolutionary type of computer. The coterie of bureaucrats, businessmen and even scientists involved in the project are bound together by vested interests, which at time vary. Hence in this story it is not clear which group has the upper hand and whose agendas will prevail.
