Opening by showing that a fundamental tenet of textbook astronomy, derived from visual telescopic study, was contravened by the discovery of dark matter, the authors introduce a new model founded upon recognition of the role of this universe dominating population. In the course of their description they show that the standard model of the Sun and stars is, in a number of instances, diametrically opposed to how these behave and evolve. Recognition of dark matter, cosmoids (a contraction of cosmic meteoroids), enables resolution of numerous scientific enigmas such as the link between our Earth's climate and solar behavior.
