5.0 out of 5 stars Terrifickly Horrific!!!, August 27, 2008
This review is from: Dark Metro Volume 2 (Paperback)
I'm not going to do a description, since the brief one listed above should whet your appetite, but I will say that this is a wonderful read...for a horror! I love the fact that the mangaka has heart as well, so there is always a great story to go with the horrific-ly detailed drawings. I don't usually like the horror genre and avoid movies and such with determined vigor, but I really enjoy this series and await impatiently for the next book. In this volume, there is more follow-up/information on the "Conductor" as well as a short about an abused boy that just brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful story-line and great illustrations, and it doesn't hurt that the Conductor is cute, too!

After hunting for this book for close to a year I was slightly disappointed it was such a short book...but the stories and the art within the volume were very good and made up for how short it was. It was also a bonus to get to know about Seiya's previous life a little more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good!, August 31, 2009

I enjoyed both this version and the previous one. I found most stories to be tight and enjoyable; even the weakest ones are serviceable. In this volume, you also get some background on Seiya, the underworld guide, which was a good story in itself.

Even though it appears that the subsequent volumes have not been published in English, the stories in both of these volumes are very self-contained. It would just be nice to get my hands on the new ones!
