Eenie, meenie, miney, moe - Who Did It?,

I just flat out enjoy the Virgil Flowers stories. I enjoy his attitude about life, his approach to law enforcement and his interest in the opposite sex.
Bluestem, MN seems to be having more than it's fair share of citizens murdered. Virgil Flowers has been sent to investigate a rather mundane one and arrives just in time to see the most hated man in town burned to a crisp in his house. The local Sherrif, Jim Stryker isn't having much luck in solving the crime wave that seems to be enveloping Bluestem, but he does have a sister who possesses, in Virgil's own estimation, the fourth finest derriere in Minnesota which makes it to third place before the story ends. Suspects abound in this novel. You can find a reason that most anyone in Bluestem would have torched Billy Judd. The other murders are a tad more difficult, but there does seem to be a thread there somewhere, if only Virgil could figure it out. That's all I'm going to tell you. Get to know Virgil and he will take you down a long winding path and you will enjoy it every step of the way.
