Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 6-9-This second title in the series is no better and no worse than books by R.L. Stine. Two teenaged werewolves, Lila and Rider, are being driven toward an awful fate by an unnamed, evil old man. At the same time, they are being hunted by Lila's former boyfriend, who eventually catches up with them and whose fate becomes entwined with theirs. Rider is predictably dark and hiding a painful past, and his companion is typically fragile, though she can be tough when Rider's life is on the line. There is plenty of romantic tension between them. The dialogue moves the action along to the ending, which sets readers up for the next installment. The plot lacks the suspense required of a good horror story, but since the book's primary draw is the relationship between the hero and heroine, it will appeal to YAs needing beach reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Music, book 2 of a 3-part book series..., April 2, 2000
This review is from: Dark Music (Children of the Night) (v. 2) (Paperback)
This book swept me away, I couldn't put it down! I read it in about 2 days, and was left looking for more! (Luckily there is more! ) It is the 2nd book in a 3 book series about Lila, who as a child was attacked by a wolf, and discovers she is a werewolf when she turned 16. Forced to run away, her only companion is Rider, a mysterious young man who longs to help her, if she'll only trust him. She must learn to cope with being a werewolf and learn to trust the mysterious Rider, before it is too late. This book includes excitement, anticipation, a little comedy, a little romance and much much more! I loved it and I look forward to reading the rest of the series as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Book, September 4, 2004
By
This is the last book of this series I have read, and it was a very VERY good book.
I loved the first one, and struggled to find this one, but when i did the wait (the two days shipping from amazon) was worth it!
It is all about (continueing from the first book in this series Dark Dreams) The girl Lila, who is taken away from her home, friends, and boyfriend. and captavated by some mysteriuos boy named Rider. If you want a good, sit down and read for a few days, this is the book for you.
I highly recomend it.
And if anyone, who had read this book, has seen or heard about the third book in this series, please e-mail me. I am finding it to be almost impossable to find!
