(Smile), What can I say about this masterful storyteller that hasn't already been said? I love Navy Captain David E Meadows' stories and believe that anyone who enjoys an entertaining sea-faring adventure will enjoy this book as well. Mr. Meadows creats fabulous and exciting characters and provides his readers a storyline that will stay with them long after the read. I find myself still thinking about the plot. I enjoy all the red herrings he hurls and the page-turning excitment. I just finished the last book in this MUST READ series and find myself curious as to what Mr. Meadows has in store for his readers next! I can't wait!!! (Highly recommended series!)

Cast off with another winner from the master of seafare adventure thrillers!,

Author David E. Meadows has come up with another winning series ... the third best-selling series for this retired Naval Captain.
In this second in the series DARK PACIFIC, as the book description describes, North Korea prepares for war, so the man-made island fortress known as Sea Base will have to prove itself under fire or perish under the depths of hostile waters. And that's as much of the plot as I'm going to divulge. David Meadows is great at suspense, and the characters are so believable I felt like I were traveling the ocean with them. You can't go wrong by "casting off" with this author's heroic characters; even the bad guys will intrigue you. This a really different kind of sea story, highly recommended by everyone I know ... not only for men but for women and young adults too. Wait until you read about the phenomenal Sea Base; what a wonderful imagination Meadows has! Also recommended: Meadows's other best-selling series: THE SIXTH FLEET and JOINT TASK FORCE. SIDENOTE: You may have noticed that Amazon has made some changes to its website. If it looks the same to you right now, look out for a new format that will be rolling out gradually in the weeks to come. If you can see the changes, especially the review format, I'd like to know what you think. Please leave me a comment with your opinion. "Love the new look" or "Hate the new look" comments are perfectly acceptable. My e-mail address is at top of this review. Thank you for your time."

Davied E. Meadows does it again with another great adventure.
Pacific Threat keeps you on the edge of your seat. Sea Base is up and running but there are subs, aircraft and a spy who want it to go away. If you like Pacific Threat you will also love Dark Pacific the 1st one of the series. David is the Master of Seafare adventure.

I wasn't terribly pleased with this book. My first Meadows read. Characters are just touched on briefly. Would of liked to be more involved with them. I was losing track of who was who. The whole story transpires in the span of a day. Maybe a little to quick for me.
