The Dark Page is not only visually stunning, with priceless pictures of the original books that inspired numerous films noirs, it also contains fascinating information about the authors, film directors, and performers involved in the films. I can't recommend it highly enough. It is an absolute treasure.

A perfect birthday gift for a USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate, (my grandson) this grand, beautiful book, signed by the author, was received with enthusiasm. The Film Noir topic was of special interest to one whose advisor was the "Hitchcock Professor". Also, I was privileged to have a pleasant telephone conversation with Kevin Johnson, the author, who answered several questions for me.
