It's still one of my favorite movies of all time, and it's my favorite Bogart/Bacall movie.
The dialogue is lame, the story bizarre, but put it in black and white, add the use of camera angle from Bogey's character's viewpoint and you have the movie.
It was a simple but effective story with some neat twists along the way and pretty good suspense here and there, too.
They are like a great bottle of wine and only get better with age. I have been enjoying their movies for a very long time and at 72 years of age that still hasn't changed.Published 8 days ago by NJR
