4.0 out of 5 stars Ignore the product description.
Ignore the product description for Dark Reign Fantastic Four. HAMMER does not invade the Baxter Building. Norman and a few agents drop by to issue Reed a summons stating they either have to work for him or be charged as criminals. Franklin and Val run interference with Osborn while Reed tests his newest device called "The Bridge". I'll leave it to you to read and find out...

3.0 out of 5 stars Only Osborn and Venom.
Only Osborn and Venom from the Dark Avengers come to the Baxter Building. And they don't really attack the Fantastic Four. This book mainly has the FF sliding from one parallel earth to another.

I'll leave it to you to read and find out what this device does. So don't be prepared to be blown away, just prepare to be amused as Osborn and Reed exchange threats. I have know idea what horrible loss Human Torch suffers and it's mentioned that Franklin and Val went shopping. As to the time travel and alternate realities, yes there is that, but it's as fun as reading a What if? or Exiles.

For a Dark Reign title this is definitely more related to Fantastic Four than Norman Osborn. I generally don't read a lot of Fantastic Four so I don't know how important this story is in regards to the regular Fantastic Four timeline. It is interesting enough for those who are familiar with Reed Richards involvement with Civil War and Secret Invasion, as the main point of the story is "Is Reed Richards responsible for the current state of the Marvel Universe".

Takes place just as the Fantastic Four have finished fixing the Baxter Building and in the process of moving back in.

A good comic book. A bit of a sad ending for the thing (again). Let the lady make her choice.
