For a cross-over this was okay.,

This review is from: Dark Reign: Deadpool / Thunderbolts (Paperback)
I don't really know anything about these new Thunderbolts so the idea of them fighting against Deadpool was a turn off.
But any fan of Deadpool would be excited to hear that Deadpool and Taskmaster team up against the Thunderbolts. The action was alright and there was lots of it. no complaint there, The comedy is always present to say the least I enjoyed it. Really this book should be considered the direct sequel to the events in volume 01 with the secret invasion tie in (not the doctor storyline). It's when Norman Osborn finally decides to do something about Deadpool. So this volume of Deadpool is meant more for the plot driven readers or the action fans since every couple of pages there's a fight (comedy is lighter this volume (mostly Deadpool hitting on black widow)). I give this a 4 out of 5, not the full 5 because Deadpool wasn't as funny this time around as in the first volume (and lets be honest everyone loves Deadpool because he's hilarious).

Having read a few Deadpool books so far this one is up there as one of the most I enjoyed reading. In summary, Deadpool's main focus throughout the story is to get money that was owed to him from Osborne. Instead he goes toe to toe with a newly formed Thunderbolts team that has hard time dealing with Deadpool. What I enjoyed about reading this is the attempts by the Thunderbolts to try and catch Deadpool and also Deadpool himself. Deadpool always provide a few quick jokes to make the reading more humorous. For those who want more from the Dark Reign event, this is a solid read. It doesn't get more in detail into the Dark Reign events but it tells the story of Deadpool during that time period. For Deadpool fans, this is obviously a must buy.

This is an absolute BLAST! The writing is solid, the artwork is great, what's not to love? Deadpool's semi-romantic banter with Black Widow is pure comedy genius!

Pure Deadpool goodness,

If you're a fan of the merc with a mouth, this most recent title of his will be to your liking. With his hallucinations getting worse and worse, not to mention the puns getting worse and worse, it will not only keep your attention but will keep you rolling on the floor as well.

Not bad,

I have known about Deadpool for a while, and just started reading the books. The writing is decent but, the fight scenes are worth the purchase.
