Book Description

May 29, 2003
High praise for Steve Farrells Dark RoseAn inspirational story about one womans lonely journey through bitterness, hate and despair to faith, love and hope; one boys voyage through panic and peril to sympathy and service; one drunk-drivers arduous ascent through uselessness and justice to redemption and mercy and one fathers inspired insight and influence pointing the way, but can he walk the walk? Destined to be a timeless classic, Dark Rose will touch the heart and brings hope to all who read it. The Editors, NewsMax.com An enchanting story of faith and family that is as enlightening as it is encouraging. Jon Dougherty, World Net Daily A modern version of the 'morality play,' Steve Farrell's writing style is reminiscent of the 19th century literary form which was best expressed by writers like Charles Dickens and other classic writers of that eraa style of writing which has, more or less, disappeared in this country. Interesting and refreshing!"Dr. Jon Dolhenty, President, Center for Applied Philosophy Dark Rose is a simple story offering an incredible amount of depthbursting with lessons in faith, forgiveness and familyit is a modern classic that will be enjoyed and passed along to friends and family for years to come. Shane Cory Editor, The Washington Dispatch Dark Rose is a story of faith and hope from a writer known for his Biblically based political and social commentary...Steve Farrell carefully crafts a love story that communicates spiritual truths to the reader.W. James Antle III, Senior Editor, Enter Stage Right "The most riveting, thought provoking book I've read in years."Jeffrey Bennett, talk show host, World Wide Christian Radi

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Rose, One of the best June 17, 2003
Format:Paperback
Rose's uneven journey from darkest night to brightest day, and a community's inability to readily forgive an injured or repentant soul, whether Rose or the rich and irresponsible Bill Bayno; struck me as true to life -- and, as I see it, part of that necessary test we all must endure in mortality.

I found myself often weeping and later cheering right along side Rose. I hurt with those she caused to suffer; and prayed for those who ought to have helped her. I felt love in my heart as she disovered she could love once again.

From a literary standpoint, the author's language tends to sing throughout; and from a moral or religious standpoint, the book strengthened my faith in God and envoked moments of frequent reflection.

A wonderful novel!
