4.0 out of 5 stars Originally a Downloadable E-Book, March 14, 2005

This story is actually the second part of "Hidden Leaves" the fifth volume of the DeBeers series and was at first only available as a download. This would explain why the edition shown above is practically impossible to find!

Willow tells of her earliest years growing up with her hateful stepmother and psychiatrist father in South Carolina. While it isn't a bad read, it doesn't really add that much to the Debeer's plotline.

This book was originally available as a free e-book download back in 2001, but was later released as part of 'Hidden Leaves', the fifth and final book in the DeBeers family saga. To be honest, this story doesn't add much to the series, and is told from Willow's POV in her childhood.

That was a waste of time. What I would have liked to know was why Claude didn't tell Willow about her true paternity after Alberta died, since at that time Willow was grown, and Alberta was DEAD. He also made no effort to find Grace, and I would have liked to know why - he just piddled around hiding the truth from Willow until his own eventual death. Really, if you want good V.C. Andrews, read 'Flowers in the Attic' or 'Heaven'.
