Dark Shadows: 1840 Flashback [VHS]

I've bought quite a few Dark Shadows videos now. They have always been a joy to recieve, especially as, living in England, I hadn't even heard of the series until 1996. The 1840 flashback tape, however, is quite awful. I was hoping it would condense the 1840's episodes into a movie length film. What I recieved was a 40 minute cassette, featuring two or three episodes spliced together. The trial of Quentin for Witchcraft, a wonderful story, is not featured at all! At the end of the tape, nothing is resolved and nothing makes sense! I originally bought this tape to encourage my fiance to enjoy the programme. At the end of the tape she enquired "what was all that about"? I had to answer "I've no idea". All the other MPI Dark Shadows tapes I have so-far bought are wonderful, which leads to the question "Why did MPI bother?" I'm afraid I cannot provide any answers, especially as the 1840 flashback is available in full on home video. I could never give a "Dark Shadows" tape a star rating of one, however I do feel that to give it two is rather generous. If you're a fan, however, you'll probably completley ignore me and buy it anyway. Just like I would if I were you!

i enjoyed the 1840 flashback alot, it had many good special effects
