There is a lot going at ol' Collinwood in this DVD set! Laura Collins wants her children, Barnabus is determined to find Laura's secret, Quentin becomes a werewolf, and a rogue vampire gives Barnabus some competition! Grayson Hall has a blast playing Magda and Roger Davis gets to go nuts (instead of the boring good guy). There are so many sub-plots in this one it's hard to keep track and some characters (like Angelique) get squeezed out. But the story line moves quickly, and I finished watching the set much sooner than I usually do. NOW I have to wait until Thanksgiving for the next set. It's always worth the wait!

Storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to get to the next episode. There are some bloopers you catch sometimes, but that's live TV for you. All in all, wonderful acting, exciting characters and really brings back a lot of wonderful memories of watching it as a young teenager.

In this set you will finally see the events that lead up to Quentin's curse, which Barnabas must reverse so that he can save the lives of David and Amy and return to the present time. The second main storyline is that of Quentin's former lover Laura Collins, who is married to older brother Edward and mother of Nora and Jamison. Laura worships the Egyptian God Ra and is dependent upon him and her sacred urn for her very life - and Quentin most definitely wants to find that urn and snuff it and Laura out for good. There's also the deliciously evil Reverend Trask who runs the local school, and he has a knack for discovering the deep dark secrets of those who dabble in the black arts. Blackmail anyone?

I don't want to say more, chances are if you haven't seen this since the 1970's you don't want more than a few hints of what to except. Jonathan Frid is wonderful as always as the anti-hero Barnabas, although David Selby absolutely steals virtually every scene he's in. We don't see much of him in this set, but John Karlan is an absolute delight as nutty younger brother Karl Collins. More more more.

The Dark Sahows Collections is my favorite Tv Classic of all time
and collection 14 is sort of right in the middle where you think it just could not get any better..but think again! I love this collection and i know you will too.

Unlike typical soap operas, the Dark Shadows Collection always picks up exactly where the last episode ended and does not drag out a story line for months or years. I watched all 40 episodes immediately when I received the item. As always, I was not disappointed in the characters, storyline, and costumes/scenery. If you are a Dark Shadows fan, I would recommend the entire collection as a must have.

I HAVE SEEN THE ORIGINAL IN THE 60'S AND ALSO BOUGHT ALL OF THE VHS TAPES. NOW I AM UPGRADING TO DVD AND CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE AND OR QUALITY OF THIS ON DVD.

I ,order these dark shadows dvd's for my sister .She's an avid fan of the series with Johnathan frig. She said the quality of picture is real good
and price was a very great deal and she would order from this seller again .

I finally reached watching Dark Shadows # 14 (there are 1250 shows) and the inner part is not only a cheap replacment, but it's broken! The "postcard" is also not present! This is a first. This DVD was advertized as "new". Needless to say, I'm unhappy!

Great quality, great price, a little slower with shipping than with past companies but I would definately use Amazon again.

the DVDs were in great condition. I purchased from Allen Turner3. I received an immediate response from the seller informing me that the DVDs were in the mail. I received them in 3 days. I would purchase from Allen in the future and suggest that others do so as well.
