4.0 out of 5 stars Second half is some of the greatest music ever recorded
Although broken up into 12 different tracks, Dark Side of the Moog 2 really has two different parts. When it comes to the first five teacks, I agree with the other reviewer that that there is not much to get excited about. There are ambiant sounds and that's all. These tracks set the stage for the musical part of the album (tracks 6-12), I understand their purpose. But 25...

But 25 minutes is much too long. Five minutes would have been okay. Starting with track six, however, everything changes. Although the ambiant sounds remain in the background, the synthesizer work starts. From here on out, it is some of the best work I've ever heard from Klaus Schulze. And I've heard alot. If you're a fan of Klaus or Tangerine Dream, get this CD now. (Just start with track 5 or 6, and you'll have a wonderful musical experience.
