This is a tantalizing and uncomfortable exploration of the darker side of human nature--that eerie place where we secretly imagine what if...
In my favorite story, "Erasure," the main character has lost everything, including her memory. As clues unfold (without giving too much away), the reader is taken on a journey through a mother's private horror and what it means to pay the ultimate price. The setting feels like the worst day in Kansas and the farmer that acts as a guide made me think over and over of the painting, American Gothic.
These are a great stories to curl up with on a rainy day, especially if you like a little "chill" without all the gore.

I have stopped reviewing EVERY book I read..so I can READ MORE! I only give that time to something that really stands out. This book did! I really liked that a few of the pieces in this collection had a lot of emotion in them whether it was from the good guys or the bad guys. Their intent and logic were definitely understood. I enjoyed ALL the stories and I feel that they were definitely dark and spooky, although not from a particularly paranormal view. That's part of what I enjoyed as well. Will be looking for more from these authors. Well done!

Dark Side of the Rainbow is an amazing group of short stories that are twisted science fiction with personalty. The characters each detailed and relatable- the author's grab hold and pull you right into the stories with them. My favorite was The Seduction- Sydney Porter ended up the greedy widower that paid the ultimate price. An affair picking out a casket for her dead husband George- shame on her! Lol all I can say is you need to read this book and see for yourself just how wonderfully refreshingwrites stories are! Awesome! :)
